framed it and put it up on a wall in our house. I am proud of it because it looks really good but then I don't want to look like a show off. I was thinking putting it in our bedroom???

Oh, I am not naked in the pic or anything but much like my avatar my shoulders and chest are bare.

Also, is there a way to scan a photo into those Kodak machines and save it on a picture CD?

Naugrim - you got a point, I get nasty responses sometimes for no reason from other women and I know it's because of my avatar! They even say that I am a bad mom!

gschmitt - that's exactly the word - tacky! I was worried that it's tacky, that's why I was thinking if I do hang it up I should do it in the bedroom or walk in closet or something.

gschmitt - what a small world! I love NJ, I lived in other places and I just love NJ, can't stay away! Don't you miss it? Although PR is great, I visited and I loved it there.

gsc- yea, NJ bagels and pizza, can't beat that! But I bet the food in PR is amazing! Are you planning on living there for the rest of your life?

Todd- the problem is is that it's a large pic and I only have a hard copy, I need to go to a kinkos and have it scanned in.

Ha, that reminds me of a funny situation 10 years ago...My wife and I were invited to a neighbors house for dinner. He was going to the Art Institute to learn photography like me, but he was very proud of his "hot" wife. So we walk in the living room for the first time, and there is this 20x30 black and white picture of his wife naked lying on the bed, showing it all to the world...It was tasteful and all, but a bit shocking...My wife, who is never short on words...was speechless, and just couldn't say anything... A few seconds later, this couple walks into the room with drinks and he walks up to the picture on the wall, points at it and says "what do you think?"

I said "It's great" and his wife starts talking about how they took the photo and how "good" he is at taking pictures. Next thing we know, he's got 50 naked pictures of his wife on the coffee table and they are both asking us "which ones do you like?" Anyway, it was an interesting evening...

to answer your question, it's your house, put it up for a few days and see how you feel about it...if you like it, keep it....

and yes, some walgreens have scanners that you can use to scan photos and save to cd, or just ask your husband to buy you a $49.00 scanner and you can scan all your photos at home.

I understand that you don't want to just store that picture somewhere - would be a shame too. But... having it in your living room would indeed be a bit of a show-off thing. Having it in your bedroom .. hmm... why? There's the real thing there... and no point in comparing the image of years ago... In your closet? what for?... Perhaps your husband can take the picture with him to his office (if he has one)... either hang it up on the wall or in his closet. I'm sure he'd like to have your image around.

It's ok with most people, I should think. But ask your other half first, after all, you do share the house.

Yes there is a way to save it to a picture CD and scan it. Go to a Kinko's or office supply company with computers to rent and use. They can handle it for you.

The quality of picture from those machines is awful, I print better using my apple mac and canon printer, ask at your local there are labs that will do it properly .
But I was a model too and I recall all model pics were done on slide film not negative as the colour quality was much richer.

My mom has some sexier modeling pictures from when she was in her early 20s. She hung them up in her bedroom. I think it's more appropriate to display this type of picture in a bedroom, for you and your boyfriend/husband, or just you to enjoy. I don't think it would be appropriate to display it anywhere around your house because it would be tacky and you don't want people to get the wrong idea maybe???? And you don't want grandma to see it! lol

Sure, there is nothing wrong with doing what you want in your house. And yes, you could scan it on any good scanner and burn it directly to CD, you don't need the Kodak machines really.

If you're proud of this picture then show it off. Who cares what anyone else thinks about it. Yes you can scan a photo and save it to a disk. You say you are bare chested in this picture, I really need to see it to give my opinion......lol.......I had to try!!!!

well, yeah......it's weird. well, more tacky than weird.

alot of people have modeling pics from the past....maybe you should keep them in a nice binder. (just giving an opinion...both me and my wife modeled for a while)

EDIT:

thnx for not being offended. i'm glad you understood what i was saying. god knows that i look at some of my 'past prints' and feel great, but i won't really put them up for public display. . . . or even for everyday display. it's a nice part of your life that can easily eclipse how good your life is NOW on a day when you're not feeling so great, you know? i once caught my [very still-beautiful] wife in tears looking at some modeling pics she did before we had our son. she isn't even very sad about herself and her self-concept is great, but she was sorting out and going thru old photos and it just got her. for that reason, i'd lean toward not putting them up for everyday viewing at all, but if you want to throw one in a closet, go for it.

btw - i see you're from boonton. graduated in 95/96? i'm from the other side of kinnelon - west milford. graduated in 95. :) (i'm living in puerto rico now, tho....that still very beautiful wife is puerto rican!)

EDIT2 - yeah, i actually miss jersey like crazy. it's an AMAZING place to live. i know many converts to jersey life...many who thought it was all like newark and what you see from that airport (that IS everyone's impression) have moved there and fallen in love with it. . .. and i'd really love a G&A hot bagel right about now. :)

EDIT3- naaa. PR's screwed up. my wife wants to get the hell out of here faster than i do. thing is, my son's in a private school on level with one of those elite Long Island boarding schools...and he goes there for free. (i teach there). maybe once we get out of the early grades, we'll move up north...don't know if jersey will be first stop, though. music may take me to nashville or LA before it takes me to jersey/NY area. (talking with different labels now)

PS - yeah...the food on the island is amazing, though. ur right.
