Mary the mother of Jesus, while in the upper room in Acts Ch1 - what do you think she is doing? leading the prayer meetings etc.... or what?

My understanding: In obedience to the word of God, she had head covering ( 1 Cor 11 ) on, and kept silent in the presence of men (1 Cor 14:34-35, 1Tim 2:12). What a beauty of grace, even if the sisters had done so today. Here we have another glimpse of the life of Mary in the book of Acts.


Do you think she led in the prayer meetings, as what some of the roman catholics said? ?

What greater sacrifice could Jesus have done.He was beaten 39 times until His back turned to shreds.They smashed a crown of thorns on His head.He carried the cross.They put spikes in His wrists and feet.They spit on Him.
They mocked Him.They humiliated Him.He was on the cross for 6 hours. HE CARRIED EVERY SINGLE SIN THAT MAN EVER COMMITTED ON HIS BACK.AND HE COULD OF BEEN WITH GOD SITTING UP IN GREAT LUXURY.BUT HE CHOOSE TO LOVE US AND OBEY HIS FATHER.They put a sign over His Head (THE KING OF THE JEWS).HE DIED AND THEY TOOK A SPEAR AND RUN IT THROUGH HIS RIGHT SIDE . Source(s) BLOOD AND WATER CAME OUT.WHEN IT HIT THE GROUND THE SKY TURNED DARK.THEN THERE WAS A GREAT EARTQUAKE,AND A ROMAN SOLDIER YELLED OUT (((((((((SURELY HE WAS THE SON OF GOD))))))))))))).

And all we have to do Is believe.Ask Jesus to forgive our sins
And ask Him to come into our heart.And have a loving relationship with Jesus.He did all the work.Because of mans sins.

How come I come on here and see the same old bickering back and forth all the day long? Why can't we just give a little both ways. Christians: I know your supposed to evangelize, but you should be evangelizing to people who have never HEARD of the bible. Your average American has seen your lofty churches and you guys wearings your crosses, and probably even dabbled in reading the bible. Unless your ready to go on a mission to Uganda or Chile your more than likely going to change no ones mind. Atheists: Why must you answer questions that obviously are no where near addressed to you? Yeah yeah, that whole freedom of speech thing. Or, just because you can. Don't you get pissed off when Christians answer questions aren't meant for them in a rude way? So what? Does this tit for tat go on until the 2nd coming happens or the world gets hit by a meteor? (I'm not taking any sides I think both parties are wronging each other - So don't attack me)

I see this word A LOT. I would like to have a discussion on exactly what people mean when they use this word. Is it a place? A state of mind? A hallucination? Just looking for some clarification.

This question could apply to the term 'hell' as well.

It's hard to have a conversation about a lot of things with my family and friends. They just don't get me or have diferrent points of view. But when I talk to lesbians they totally understand and I can really relate to them. That's why I prefer talking to them.

Not everyone knows about my sexuality,so I can't really talk about my love life or stuff relating to lesbians to my family or friends.

Sometimes I really disagree with them,and sometimes I get pissed talking to them.They just don't get me! Like how my mom and friends say lesbians are just confused and hasn't found the right guy. I object!!! Totally disagree!!! Not just that but so many other stuff I really disagree with.

So,what I'm trying to say is,I feel that (not all but some) some people don't understand lesbians. Or is it that we have diferrent points of view.(yeah,I think that's it)

Or is it just me?

What kind of deep, calming, spiritual music would you put on to drown it out?

I prefer opera for that, myself. I can't be angry listening to opera.

Muslims believe that the Lord Jesus is only one of the prophets. They are 'unitarian'.
Jehovah witnesses believe that the Lord Jesus is not Jehovah Himself, but a lesser Being. They are 'unitarian'.

Now, what is your basis and how is it that professing christians could call JW's = christians? ? ? Why is there bias against the Muslims? ?



My point is, I do not believe JW's are ture Christians at all, what saith ye?

God to have mercy on the people in Hell and give them another chance to choose God and repent?

God does choose to go against His word and show mercy to people in the Bible, for example: He told Adam and Eve that if they ate the forbidden fruit they would die the very same day they ate it. However, everyone knows that He did not follow through with this. He also told Moses that He would destroy the Israelites who had worshipped the golden calf, yet Moses was eventually able to convince Him to have mercy on them. If God could stay His judgment against Adam and Eve and change His mind about destroying the idol worshippers, then there is a chance He could change His mind where the people in Hell are concerned.

The question is, once you got to Heaven, would you try to convince God to give the people in Hell another chance to be saved? Please tell me why or why not.
