I am appalled by racism. Full stop. Some people are unaware that racism exists in every culture. Racists come in all colours, and we ALL know that I'm sure.

I'm appalled by racism, genocide, rape, incest, misogyny, hate and war. Or, to sum all that up, Patriarchy. That includes racism against African-Americans, but being Native American and female, I can tell you that others are discriminated against as well.

im appalled by all forms or racism, directed at anyone.......but i've come across a few people down south who dont like african -americans and i dont feel comfortable talking to them anymore.

Not really. Please give me some examples of where it exists. Sure there are groups like the KKK who preach hate, but they are for the most part a laughing stock. Nobody takes them seriously. And though I wouldn't say that racism is prevalent against whites, I would say that there is a double standard when ti comes to race issues in the US. A great example is how Imus was publicly called out by black leaders like the Rev. Al Sharpton who called for Imus to be fired after referring to a few players on the Rutgers womens basketball team "nappy headed ho's". As vile, and stupid as that statement was, it pales in comparison to what we hear in 99% of gangsta rap songs. I haven't heard the Reverend calling for record companies to fire these rap artists.
This is just one of the many double standards. I'm sure racism exists in America, I just don't think its as bad as a lot of people think it is.

We're barely a generation or two removed from segregation and Jim Crow laws. Unfortunately, racism will not disappear overnight. It's going to take a long time.
