Going with that December 25th isn't Jesus Christ's actual birthday along with that the decorations are that of Pagan tradition and the modern GREED and GLUTTONY of getting the most and expensive presents that people fight over while shopping in the malls and having big feasts and drinks isn't exactly a behavior you want to respectfully have to honor the birth of your Lord and saviour who died for your sins.

To be honest, I'm not even religous or follow Jesus Christ at all, but even I consider the way Christmas is celebrated to be most disrespectful and contridicting to one's faith in Jesus Christ. Being kind and sharing should be everyday, not just one day or month out of the year.
Since I'm not religious, Christmas is just a fun day for me and I can celebrate any way I want, but if I was a true Christian with an actual belief and faith in Jesus Christ, I would find Christmas horrid.

According to the bible, Jesus called them adulterers, so if you continue to have relations with your new spouse, do you need forgiveness all the time for flouting Jesus' rules?

My husband and I were invited to this Christmas party that one of his good friends and his fiance organized. There is going to ba an "ugliest Christmas sweater competition", so that means that we have to find a Christmas sweater. In the invitation, they also ask their guests to bring a dish and their own liquor. They said they will provide beer and wine.
Isn't this a bit too much to ask if YOU are organizing a party in your own home?

I read the book, "The Incredible Journey" years ago. One of the dogs (male) is named, "Luath". I liked the name except for the "T", which makes it sound cumbersome when read/spoken. I named my German Shepherd (female) "Luah". I've recently seen this word On some Spanish V-blogs.

why does he nothing new to say to them.
you would think he would want to cover some new ground instead of spouting the same tired old stuff, that we've all heard a million times before.

Leviticus 20:13 says that if a man lies with a man as he lies with a woman, he should be put to death.

This is NOT saying ANYTHING about homosexuality. This is misunderstood. What this is talking about is being true to yourself.

If you are straight, you should not sleep with a man and if you are gay, you should not sleep with a woman.

Leviticus 20:13 says NOTHING against gays and I am tired of people warping it to make it seem like it does.

What do you think?

I find it funny that life throws so many obstacles at us and hardsihps, and people either act fake like, something's wrong with you if you complain about it all, and you're some kind of a loser, or they seem to be the types of people that complain 24/7 and can't see the beauty of life. It's either extreme, but more the former.

I don't understand why society and people have to act SO fake.

And it is. It's all about the percieved image of someone or something, not what they're REALLY like.

I'm sure many people fake, lie, cheat, whatever, to what they want their lives to be,and put on a show for everyone else, and if you're going through a hardship, or something is difficult in your life, they look at u as to say, what the hell is wrong with you?

It seems like mostly Americans are like this. Like, if you're not doing great in life, work a great job, successful, well put together, etc etc, they act like it's the 2nd coming of Christ.

Why all this phoniness?

PLEASE SEE ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR THE REST OF THE POEM! HERE IS THE FIRST STANZA!

THE SONG OF SEASONS

Fall

Softly, swaying, silent leaves,
Fall gently to the ground.
Swiftly, soaring, in a breeze,
They rest without a sound.
Rainbow trees of orange and red,
Against the bright blue sky.
Piled up in a leaf bed,
Or slowly blowing by.
Children wrapped up in their coats,
Because of the harsh chill.
Wind whistles some music notes,
Fall truly is a thrill!

Winter

Whispers tell a wish or two,
Since Christmas is near by.
Do you want a drum that’s blue,
Or white snow from the sky?
Snow angels and hot cocoa,
Snowman with a carrot nose.
Gingerbread and cookie dough,
A fire to warm your toes.
Ho, ho, ho - that jolly laugh,
That we all know so well.
He gives gifts on our behalf,
Inside his sleigh of bells.

Professor Li Chung Yun was considered the oldest man of our century. The London Times (May 8, 1933) reported his death at the age of 256 years. Records found in China show he was born in 1677.
Professor Yun died with all his own teeth and hair. Those who knew him say that he looked about 50 when he was already over 200. He outlived 23 wives and had 11 generations of descendents during his lifetime.

If some sort of plague or other incident wiped out everyone around you and you couldn't find a trace of humanity by searching or radioing or the Internet, there would be a number of things to keep in mind. Where would you go and what would you do?

As an instance of one of the lesser-thought of issues, how close do you presently live to any nuclear reactors? In the event of a catastrophe that removed all other humans, that reactor would essentially be in a final countdown-stage until meltdown (unless you and you alone knew how to shut it down safely, of course). So you probably wouldn't want to stick around near any cities that have nuclear power. Staying too close to any nuclear stockpiles might not be so good, either - if any one of the bombs goes haywire and the detonation device triggers via a malfunction at some point decades down the road, you'd be critter toast.

So there are some examples of possible issues. What would -you- do first? Where would you go?

I may have to get involved with this if I get a job that I really want - and I need a heads up as to what it is all about. So if you have experience of this and would like to pass it on to someone who is just thinking "map reading and mud" then I would be really grateful. Thanks

I accidentally did that this morning. I really did not mean to. I had two pieces of toast, as I usually do with my coffee. I saw what looked like a beautiful image of Christ on one of the pieces and I was going to save it and maybe create a shrine. But I was reading the newspaper and got distracted and just absentmindedly spread strawberry jam on what I thought was the other piece of toast and took a big bite out of it. Then I realized it was Jesus. I was distraught! It was either going to be a shrine or I was going to sell it on Ebay. I didn't even get a picture of it and so no one will believe me. Do you believe me? I hope so.

I don't think so. I think it is when you fail to see your own sins or think your better than those who sins you have identified that makes you self righteous? So then would thinking your better than a muderer or rapist make you self righteous? I know this is allot to chew on and comment on but I would be interested in any thoughts.
