I am atheist.I do enjoy every religious or non religious occasions with my friends. It gives me a lot pleasure for being together with the people I live with .I am also a social being just like anyone else.
I don't believe in any religion. But, I in my own way try to live a decent life and do good things in my own way.I do help people in various ways and I love my family members and the society I live in. I don't think one has to be religious in order to enjoy Christmas along with others.I also join the Midnight Mass.I have no faith in Christianity. But it doesn't mean I hate those who follow a particular religion.
I am sure, in our world /society we are liked or hated/isolated by the rest on the basis of our life style and the way we inter-act with people .Most importantly, one must live a disciplined and clean life .....and should be sociable.

Christmas has become two celebrations. One is the religious observance of Christian rituals. One is simply the celebration of a festive season.
Atheists probably celebrate the latter (although only an atheist can say for sure). Even most Christians celebrate the festive season as much as the religious side. And there is nothing wrong with that, in my opinion.

There are 2 Christmases. The first is the real Christmas which is a Christian holoday celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. The second is a commercial holiday that was developed by greeting card companies and retailers, and it's all about gifts and stuff. Some celebrate both, some just the latter.

Technically the Christmas holiday was an pagan holiday before the Catholic church decided it was Jesus' birthday. An atheist could celebrate the pure spirit of goodwill and kindness.

I celebrate the TRUE reason for the season:
SANTA CLAUSE!!!
...and the spirit of generosity and charity!
Jesus wasn't born on Dec. 25th. That was something the Catholic church did to usurp and undermine the pagan sects that worshiped the rebirth of the SUN. (Dec. 25 is just days after the shortest day of the year, and to the careful observer, the days can be seen as getting longer)
Historians claim Jesus' birthday is most likely in the Spring according to Gospel accounts of his birth.

Actually Christmas is a Pagan holiday brought over in history to convert Pagans over. Same with Easter for it ties to Christmas.
It has nothing to do with Jesus or G_D.
Even Jeremiah 10:1-4 shows G_D calling us believers heathens for doing such an act.
Bible is clear.. 7 feasts, that's it. Do not do others nor tradition.
Read the story of Moses getting the tablets. What did his followers do while they waited? What did G_D do to them? Christmas is the same thing.

They may not do anything, just treat it as any other day, except they get it off from work.
