I find it funny that life throws so many obstacles at us and hardsihps, and people either act fake like, something's wrong with you if you complain about it all, and you're some kind of a loser, or they seem to be the types of people that complain 24/7 and can't see the beauty of life. It's either extreme, but more the former.

I don't understand why society and people have to act SO fake.

And it is. It's all about the percieved image of someone or something, not what they're REALLY like.

I'm sure many people fake, lie, cheat, whatever, to what they want their lives to be,and put on a show for everyone else, and if you're going through a hardship, or something is difficult in your life, they look at u as to say, what the hell is wrong with you?

It seems like mostly Americans are like this. Like, if you're not doing great in life, work a great job, successful, well put together, etc etc, they act like it's the 2nd coming of Christ.

Why all this phoniness?

Success doesn't fall from the sky, and not everyone can have it all, and be like the perfect person society seems to pressure us into being. What's wrong with being who you are, where you are in life, even if it's not "successful"?

Now if you're in LA/NYC forget it, lol. It's worse. There it's ALL about image, and even fakeness flies there.

To be fake and appear rich, beautiful, popular, is what it's all about and it sells, and everyone aspires their whole lives for all this b*llshit, and get depressed if they don't.

People get butt implants, calf implants, carve their faces up, spend tons of cash on this BS,

it's like

*sigh* I agree with you. I try not to be a, as you put it, "fake" person, but I think I understand their reasoning.
Society has expectations of people. There are images of what we should look like, how we should act, what we should believe, spread by the media and celebrities as ideal, successful ("successful") people. People want to be what they admire and to be admired, so they are willing to cut themselves up, starve themselves, and act like something their not in order to emulate what they think is worth of admiration.
And, as you say, if you don't meet the ideal you're not considered successful. Which leads to more phoniness, because what is life without "success".
Life is your own without "success." People should like you for who you are, not who other people are. Hopefully you can like yourself without meeting the ideal, I think self-loathing is another reason people try to be something they're not. Worse than other people disliking you for not being "successful" is not liking yourself.

I suggest that it's a matter of how confident one is about him or herself. If you have a good self-image - you think that on the whole, you're a pretty good person with lots to offer - it is much easier to show your true self to the world.
If you are less confident and know that you have certain failings, you are going to be defensive with others.

That is why the loudest, most confident sounding person in the room is likely to be the least happy with him or herself. And the quiet individual, who doesn't try to impress people is happiest in his or her own skin.
Don't let this bother you. We are doing the best that we can.

I agree with you. And I guess it's because deep down most people don't like themselves so they act and possibly look fake to hide the way they really are from the world.

those who have lived long enough to even think they know what life is.

know this much. Life is Life, you live it or you kill your self & be done with it. To complain about it is futile it is what it is & does not change for any one. you make it what it is for you. that is life!
