Hi, I'm a college student and i have a work-study (part time job) at the campus library. I was wondering if i should bring in something small for my bosses (my boss, another woman who works with her, and two librarins)? I was thinking of making candy wreathes ( pepermint candies tied all around a coat hanger ring, great for seating on their desks) Is it approiate to give them these, or will i look stupid or like im trying to kiss up.

A lot of times, there are perfectly good tables "everywhere" else. Normally these are not restaurants that take reservations. So if I get seated at a table in the back, yet still pass up all the other tables throughout the restaurant that are the same seating arrangement, what is the REAL story?

Why did the Pope during the Middle Ages say autopsies meant hell?

Why did the European Pope during the Middle Ages say autopsies meant hell for all Catholics who received them but now when Catholics die in Catholic hospitals, many are routinely autopsied?

I am on a mission, to make homemade wine. I made it many years ago with a bottle and a balloon, wasn't the tastiest thing I ever had, but certainly had the effect I was looking for.
Now I'm on a mission to create something far more delicious
My husband's doctor has told him he should drink two glasses of wine a day, so we intend to develop a couple of recipes.
Have you ever made homemad wine?
Do I need to purchase a kit?
Is regular yeast good or does it need to be a special type of yeast?
What about fermentation, is it better to use a glass jar, or something where the uv rays can't get through?
Any advise would be appreciated.
Any web sites that you know of that sell wine making kits and ingredients.
What would be your favorite flavor?

Does anyone knows where Singapore is? How do you define Singapore?
The island, always spotless and well organised, is becoming even cleaner and greener. Though little is left of Singapore's wilderness, growing interest in the ecology has seen new bird sanctuaries and parkland areas gazetted by the government.
The customs and festivals of the different ethnic groups in Singapore highlight the nation's rich cultural heritage. Singapore's people are largely descendants of immigrants from the Malay Peninsula, China, the Indian sub-continent and Sri Lanka. They have gradually acquired a distinct identity as Singaporeans while still retaining their traditional practices, customs and festivals.

Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly and freedom to do just about anything you want to do... but are you really free?

The Bible says that we are slaves... slaves to sin. (Romans 6:15-22) What is sin? Sin is violating God’s law… the Ten Commandments. (Galatians 3:19) Need proof you are a slave to sin? The ninth commandment says, "You shall not bear false witness." In other words, "You shall not lie." How many times have you told lies in your life? How about stealing? Have you ever taken God’s name in vain? Have you ever looked with lust (sexual desire) at anyone you were not married to? The Bible says "Whosoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery already with her in his heart" How many times have you been guilty of looking with lust? If you are guilty of these then you are a slave to sin. God tells us that all liars, drunks, the sexually immoral, thieves, etc. will end up in the lake of fire... eternal hell. (Revelation 21:8, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). The Bible makes it clear that we have to be pure to go to heaven. The problem is that “…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Rom 3:23) A few verses before that we also find these condemning words: “There is none righteous, no, not one… There is none who seeks after God… There is none who does good, no, not one.“ In fact, the Bible says, “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.’ (Galatians 3:10)” God will justly judge you when you die and none who are unholy will enter heaven. (Heb 9:27) We have to be holy to go to heaven.

There is hope! God lowered himself and became a man, Jesus Christ. He did what no other man could; He lived a perfect life. He never sinned. Then He shed His blood and died on the cross, paying the penalty for sin. After three days he rose from the dead, defeating death. His blood will make us holy! So do as the Bible says, repent and have faith in Jesus Christ. Stop living a lifestyle of sin… turn from your sin and start living for God. Deny yourself and take up your cross daily and follow Him. (Luke 9:23). Humble yourself. Realize you are created to glorify God. True freedom is only found in Jesus Christ.

Like 4 of them and they stayed there for hours. The ambulance and fire truck were sent away only minutes after arriving. Everyone cried. This is so weird. I could see the whole thing through my window. She was a young mom and I just saw her the day before she died. I don't want to ask people picking up her stuff now what was going on.
