Volunteering is a great thing and a good way to get a good learning experience. But make sure that you let your parents know every thing that happens at work. This will all so help you to learn. I would ask your parents to help you find a place to volunteer they will probably be able to do it quicker, and then you will all so have found a way to get there.

are there any animal shelters in there? b/c most shetlers are looking for vollunteers.youll probably have to bring along a parent. im almost 14 and have been vollunteering at animal shelters since i was 10. you feel like youve just gone to church!
theres a couple of things you can do to save animals right now!:
1. www.theanimalrescuesite.com click on the purple button that says click here-its free. the sites sponsers will pay for food for abandonded animals.
2.do research on endangered species and put pictures on on your labtop for awareness
3.urge desginers to stop using fur! http://www.hsus.org/marine_mammals/protect_seals/designers_who_use_seal_fur.html
use that emails and email all of them and send a polite, heartfelt letter for them to stop using fur.
4.sign the fur-free pledge https://community.hsus.org/campaign/furfreepledge_jay
5. use www.goodsearch.com instead of google the site will donate to a charity of your choice including for animals! the charity on the day is kentuckiana pug rescue or PETA [just remember to click verify charity first, then search]

The SSPCA have several rehoming centres, you could try one of those - http://www.scottishspca.org/
http://www.dogstrust.org.uk/
Also Guide Dogs have at least one training centre in Scotland - are you near Forfar? http://www.gdba.org.uk/
For cats try the Cats Protection League - http://www.cats.org.uk/
Have a look in Yellow Pages for other local rehoming centres, boarding kennels and charities. Rehoming Centres in particular are usually keen to take on volunteers.

Check out the nearest animal rescue centre - most of them will "bite your hand off" - they are always desperate for helpers. Your local library, or local RSPCA or Vet will be able to give you some contacts in your area.

I think you are too young to have volunteer for the work.
