The earliest we were allowed to get our parents up was 5am, so my brother would sneak into my room and we'd play some game or something until it was time to go open presents.
Did you seriously say "Crimbo"?

About 5:30 am should be soon enough to let Santa deliver the pressies eat the mince pies and drink the sherry

7 am is a reasonable time. When me and my brothers were little, instead of leaving pressies under the tree, "Father Christmas" *wink wink* would leave our presents in a pillow case in our rooms. Then, at 7 am, we were allowed to go into our parent's room and get into bed with them to open them there.

I'd say no earlier than 6am. When i was little i had a small stocking outside my door that i could start opening in my room and by the time id finished it was time to wake up mum and dad and go downstairs! I miss being a kid!!

Tell him that he can't get out of bed until the sun is in the sky otherwise father christmas may not have been and if he is up then santa may see him and not be able to leave any presents!
It works with my brother and sister, otherwise they would be up at 4 in the morning!

Our time was always 7 am growing up. Of course we'd always be awake before then but knew not to knock on the parents door before 7 am. I still stick with that with my kids.

i would not set a certain time, when i was little my parents used to leave one smallpresent for both me and my brother to open which was usually an annual which we could do before our parents got up(as we were usually up a lontg time before them, as are most kids),then we were not allowed to open any more until our parents got up, that way we had someything for when we got up and then the rest to look forward to.

My 2 were always up very early but they were not allowed to open their presents until we were up, this was mainly so I knew who had got them whatever and thank you notes could be written.
I let them open their stockings as only presents from us were in there.

the earliest I got up at was 4am!!! but now I usually get up at 4am open my stocking go into my big bro and see if he's awake, go back to sleep and then at 7am we wake our parents. depends on what age they are, if they are too young to not wake you up then live with it!! but if they are older tell them that they are not aloud to wake you up till 6am, give them a clock in their bedrooms!
