Does anyone knows where Singapore is? How do you define Singapore?
The island, always spotless and well organised, is becoming even cleaner and greener. Though little is left of Singapore's wilderness, growing interest in the ecology has seen new bird sanctuaries and parkland areas gazetted by the government.
The customs and festivals of the different ethnic groups in Singapore highlight the nation's rich cultural heritage. Singapore's people are largely descendants of immigrants from the Malay Peninsula, China, the Indian sub-continent and Sri Lanka. They have gradually acquired a distinct identity as Singaporeans while still retaining their traditional practices, customs and festivals.

Well, for one thing, Singapore being just a tiny red dot on the world map just shows how small it is compared to the other countries. However, being small with limited land actually poses as an advantage for us in this matter.

For instance, it is much easier for the government to control, govern and standardise the rules in a small country, as opposed to big countries like China, where the urban areas are more developed than the rural areas because some of the policies (e.g. one child policy) and rules put into place are barely effective in the rural areas.

Being easy to govern, Singapore has become a country with law and order, a country that is safe and secure, and with all these attributes, we have spread our name across the world.

However, it is important to note that not many people know where Singapore is, even though they have heard of it. Some people even think that Singapore is in Japan!

It's because it's a microcosm of how a country should be run with regard to laws, attitudes, and people. Political movements there are pro-Singapore instead of pro-greed like in the rest of the world.
