Going with that December 25th isn't Jesus Christ's actual birthday along with that the decorations are that of Pagan tradition and the modern GREED and GLUTTONY of getting the most and expensive presents that people fight over while shopping in the malls and having big feasts and drinks isn't exactly a behavior you want to respectfully have to honor the birth of your Lord and saviour who died for your sins.

To be honest, I'm not even religous or follow Jesus Christ at all, but even I consider the way Christmas is celebrated to be most disrespectful and contridicting to one's faith in Jesus Christ. Being kind and sharing should be everyday, not just one day or month out of the year.
Since I'm not religious, Christmas is just a fun day for me and I can celebrate any way I want, but if I was a true Christian with an actual belief and faith in Jesus Christ, I would find Christmas horrid.

I don't find it horrid, and I'm a Christian. It does say in the bible that Jesus was born sometime in late September .. So, I don't know why we have in it December.

I guess we just celebrate a late birthday?

Blame the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages. They wanted converts and the only way they knew how was to steal pagan festivals and give them a Christian spin while keeping all the pagan elements involved.

Christmas is whatever you make of it. You can be greedy or you can make it nonmaterialistic. It's up to each individual and family to decide.

I'm Pagan and I love Christmas, but I have many Christian friends (including a couple pastors) who decide for themselves what Christmas means to them and they don't stress over how other people choose to celebrate.

lol no we have christmas because we have no dec. holidays. Jesus was born much earlier in the year so it really doesnt have anything to do with christmas. Though we like to reflect as jesus birthday because the cold weather helps bring people together and some times bring a helping, sharing hand for those who are less fortnate. Besides christains hate Halloween not christmas.

It's yuletime,a pagan party time, one of many. Those folks of ole' were quite good at finding excuses for a break in their struggles to survive, weren't they?

If some want to celebrate their religious festivals around this time, it's a-okay as long as they don't lay claim to the day.

Celebrating a holiday isn't wrong. Just keep the real reason for the season in Your heart
