Q1) If the roman catholic institutions prides itself in its traditions........ how come that they do not keep the ORDINANCE OF HEAD COVERING as instructed by the Apostle Paul, even in their Douay Rheims version 1899; in

1Cor 11:2 Now I praise you, brethren, that in all things you are mindful of me and keep my ordinances as I have delivered them to you. (NB: the word is ordinanceS, in plural and there are only two ordinances mentioned in 1 Cor 11)

when the Apostle Paul straightaway went into the ordinance of head covering??

Q2) If angels would not be present, would the Holy Spirit be present in their meetings???? If not, what spirit(s) would be in attendance?

Q3) How is it that all the magestriums, cardinals and popes cannot understand the difference between singular 'ordinance' and plural 'ordinanceS'?

Q4) Does God called men to serve Him, when they cannot even understand such basic English? How then can anyone trust them interpret spiritual things???

Hi,
I am a parent of 17 years old. I found grass like stuff in his room. He insists that it is pizza seasoning. Is there definitive test that can verify that stuff is marijuana or not?
Thanks

Within reason, of course, but I would like another family to be considered now and then. There is more than one line available for crowning. The USA would have been better with such a tangible and breathing symbol of history and traditonal values, in my unworthy opinion.

Like most of the contributors to this site, we lived through the "cold war" with Russia (USSR). With Putin now dominating the politics of Russia, do you think that we (U.S.) will be in the same situation in the near future, and if so, what do you think the repercussions will be ?

(I think the cold war is what fueled the original "James Bond" series of movies)

... will we be given a new sense of porpoise?
Or will we continue to be shellfish, doing things just for the halibut?
Will we flounder?
Will we be forced to return to school?
Will we work for scale?
Will all children be born under the sign of Pisces?

How many rolls of wrapping paper do you go through before the holidays are over? 5, 6, 20?? What's the point of it anyways? You spend lots of YOUR hard-earnded cash on paper, that ends up being ripped and crumbled all over the floor. It's a waste!
Well here's my proposal: DON'T BUY ANY! Think of all the paper and future trees you could save by wrapping gifts with newspaper, or paper bags from the grocery store! You could use old homework assignments even! (only if you had good grades, of course) I've done it in the past, and it doesn't look tacky at all, but quite creative! What do you think? Will you help save the earth?

Take Me

I loved her at her finest
And I loved her at her worst
I made her my most wanted
And I always put her first
She had me on my toes for her
To come if she may call
I slept with one eye open
Caught her right before the fall
But she brought out her hammer
Nailed my arms up to the fence
Gave not one good reason
Of the stories, none made sense
So here is what is left to give
I offer you this much
There's not much left unbroken
And i'm cold at hands first touch
Love me like you mean it
And the ice wil melt away
If you will be my lover
I will come to you today

It sure seems that way. Some of the grammar people use online is atrocious. I read of someone who was discussing a "pair of skies", for example. Another talked about "World War 11". I don't think a lot of people realize that there, their and they're are differnt words. I see "man on the street" videos on tv where people can't indentify the vice-preseident. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this

By the end of the first century the Church was formed around the bishop who represented the Church in apostolic succession. The great commission was well underway and had extended to the Gentiles as well as the Jews. In scriptures we see St. Paul in his epistles telling the Church to respect the Sacred Traditions handed to them coming from both written sources and oral ones. Even the written sources were delivered orally as transcripts were very rare and few people were literate. There was not widespread distribution of what we consider today to be inspired Scripture as decided at the African Synods by the Church in the late fourth and early fifth centuries. Throughout the first sixteen centuries of the Church there was never any question that the authority of truth rested in.....

When there's a character named "God" in it?
If it were pushing atheism, you'd think they'd all go looking for God and not find him.

My son is on a working holiday in Banff ~ freezing his t.i.t.s

I received a parking fine in the mail for $180.. his car runs out of rego next week and it will cost $1100 to make road worthy, register and insure... and some kid just walked by and offered me $500 for it. It's not worth $50.. someone gave it to me cause they were going overseas and my son won't be back until March... and hasnt offered to contribute any money towards registering it or paying the fine he accrued.

So... do you think he will miss his car when he returns? *grins* I've got $500 cash in my pocket!

I am interested in hearing why some people need their religious beliefs more than others. Is religion merely the opiate for the masses, such as Marx said? Why, eventhough countlessly debunked by science, do so many people still cling to their accestral beliefs?
