My ancestors married all around and this is what i say when people ask me where i am from: I am American, and my family has been here for 4 generations...but I am Slovak, Austrian, German, Irish, Russian, British, and POSSIBLY turkish....and non-blood related family includes: Indian, Ecuadorian, Icelandic, and (haha) CALIFORNIAN =p

also the mix of religions is interesting: Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Jain, and Agnostic.

how about everyone else out there in Y!A land? =)
most of my friends are like....children of immigrants from Bangladesh or India or Pakistan, so i dont really know anyone else with my type of mixed background O_o

I have such a mixture of cultures in my family - it's great! Aside from my ancestors of American Indian and German-Dutch descent which are: my maternal grandmother was Choctaw Indian and my paternal grandfather was German Dutch, born in Holland. Currently, my brother is married to a girl from Argentina and have 2 beautiful children and my nephew married a girl from the Philippines and he has 2 beautiful children that favor more the Philippine look and when we all get together, it's quite a group. There are different languages spoken and different ethnic foods eaten and I just think it's the greatest thing to have such a variety in my life.

I am a direct mix of the most common sort.

1/2 Black & 1/2 White

To break it down further, my mother's whole side is Irish, my father has Puerto Rican, Mongolian, and White as well.

I enjoy my heritage. I love being such a great mix. The benifits of being biracial far outweigh to stupid racist comments I recieve every now and then.

yezzir. i'm african american (with a pure african grandparent) my grandma is half creole (i don't know if you can be half creole because creole is a mixture. how can you be half of a mixture?) then my dad is black and native american. i think my numbers round out to just a bit above 3/4 black. when i add in my grandma and her white ancestors.

but i usually ignore everything except the african american part. i don't know why, i mean i have characteristics from the races like curly hair, almond eyes, high cheekbones, str8 nose, but i have brown skin kind of a blend of peanut butter and mahoghany (so pretty) so just feel african american. ppl see me and think african american not afrocreolnativecaucasamerican
