This Christmas one can buy a pre-packaged Christmas tree 10 feet tall with over a 1,000 lights on it for $300.

Is this considered to be blasphemy by God aka Mother Nature aka the God who created the whole universe including traditional, organic Christmas trees or is it viewed by God as a great and expected theological breakthrough?

I just can't stand the hypocrisy I have found in most church goers, or the judgemental attitudes- "The Bible says being gay is wrong" "The Bible says you shouldn't say bad words" "The Bible says you should save yourself for marriage". I avoid going like the plague, although I am very spiritual. I feel closest to God when I am outside in nature, as a matter of fact. But going into church where people are flailing around and screaming (which I feel is for show) and a preacher telling me what I should or shouldn't be doing or I'll be damned makes me sick. In addition, I've found most religious people to be weird and scary. Am I the only one out here who feels this way?

It must be evidence of an Intelligent Planner. An Intelligent Planner is different from an Intelligent Designer, in that the Intelligent Planner, Planned to put the Clock there. He could have bought it at Wal-Mart. No Design Necessary.

We're not religious at all, yet every Sunday I set the table with the good China and a real cloth, gather the kids, and have an old fashioned 'sit down' family dinner. It's become a tradition, with fried chicken the usual dish.

What does your family serve?
Who gathers together at your table?
What role do your beliefs play?

What are you being taught or trained to do now in preparation for the coming of God's kingdom that we pray for at Matthew 6:9,10. What will you be doing after it is in power?

getting put or sent away-that you say when you've had a senior moment? I just read Witch Hazel say "Special Sunday Afternoon Drive". My mom always said (for the last five years anyways) "I guess you'll be getting me a room next to dad's" and my sister's family (who live in Alaska) say "Guess it's time to send you out on the ice floe" a reference to the long ago Eskimo tradition of putting the elderly out to sea. Does your family have such a saying?

Where is this in the bible?

'Go now, child, tell them all. The ignorant, the blinded by dogma, blinded by faith, the doubters, the nay sayers.
Tell them all, child, they can not see the kingdom of god, they can not see paradise unfold before them,
they can not drink from the chalice which holds the blood of christ, the water of life, until they get right with jesus.
Until they get right with jesus.

....in the good old days didn't He let all His mocking, insincere, unfaithful, disobedient, rebellious children live with Him in Heaven???

Then didn't He get tired of their BS - how they were ruining Heaven for everyone else - and He told them to get the Hell out of there?

Is this really what happens? God sends the disobedient to Hell to keep them from spoiling Heaven for everyone else?

The Christian deity allowed his own son to be tortured to death. Christians claim this deity to be loving and kind but the death of Jesus seems to contradict this claim. Christians claim that Jesus died to absolve mankind's sins, but they also claim that God is all powerful and can do anything. So god could easily absolve mankind's sins with a snap of his magic fingers.
The only reason he had this done to Jesus must have been because he wanted to do it. The Old Testament has many stories of God being cruel and vicious for example he wiped out a whole generation of Egyptian firstborn sons, when surely he could have changed Pharaoh's mind without the multiple murders. Don't you think if this deity exists he is cruel and violent and if he would do this to Jesus, Christians would be foolish to expect any mercy from him, especially as they are not even his chosen people?
