This Christmas one can buy a pre-packaged Christmas tree 10 feet tall with over a 1,000 lights on it for $300.

Is this considered to be blasphemy by God aka Mother Nature aka the God who created the whole universe including traditional, organic Christmas trees or is it viewed by God as a great and expected theological breakthrough?

NO! NEVER!
If God/mother nature were to take the time to care about things like that lightning bolts would be blasting houses all over this globe called earth, laugh.
A fake tree is not Blasphamy! It is a fake tree!
The only way a fake tree can be blasphamy is if you worship it. Even then the fake tree is still not, you would be committing blasphamy though by your act of worship. Singing praises while looking at the tree is not blasphamy either if you are singing to something beyond.
Murdering a live tree, or putting up a fake tree, which is more offensive to mother nature?
Culling an overgrowth and then using that culled tree is not offensive either, your doing something good then, while making use of the waste. Living in a City it is difficult to cull a forest so a fake tree is fine.
What you do, and how you do it are both parts of why things that seem wrong do not offend Mother Nature.

In my opinion, God cares only that you remember Him and pray to Him and live your life according to His guidance. If your heart is in the right place, you don't even need a "Christmas Tree". Jesus Christ never had a Christmas Tree.

To your question, I think using a fake tree is a great idea. It means one less living tree is cut down, which is great for the environment, plus it will be easier for your family, and you can save money by using it every year. It would cut down on waste and useless spending to use the same tree year after year. No where does it say that you have to buy a new tree every year.

Whatever you decide to buy, just be sure you remember God this Christmas, and if possible, do a good deed.

It seems that the real message of Christmas has long been lost to the commercial mess that happens every year. If God wanted this to be, he would have had a mall in heaven. Peace and Love is the true message, not all this other stuff that has been force fed to us over the years. Sure, it's nice to give and get stuff, but how about giving the true meaning of Christmas for once.... maybe the world would be a better place for it.

I think God would prefer if we leave the tree outside alive and growing. Plastic is not environmentally friendly so if you really want a tree just put lights on a tree outside.

Considering that God is in everything, even the "fake" trees, I would think he doesn't mind which one you choose, as long as you remember the real reason for christmas.

Christmas trees are a pagan custom. I don't think God, in the light of Christianity, cares one way or another if you even HAVE a tree.

Christmas is celebrating the birth of the Egyptian Sun god Horus. Not Jesus.
