Clocks do not have the ability to evolve. Look up The Blind WatchMaker on youtube and you will find a computer program that uses basic natural laws to construct a clock from basic parts. It is not told what to do, it simply works on the basis of survival, if a clock is good at telling time, it will survive to create other clocks. I sound crazy right now but check it out, its pretty crazy. Everything that exists in life can be explained by evolution. I still can't believe intelligent design is still around. It isn't a solution, it is the lack of one. I honestly believe that if it said somewhere in the the bible that the earth was flat, religion would be dismissing satelite photos proving otherwise

That was a very lame story... any clock takes dozens of people to make... all the way from miners who mine the ore for the material that the clock is made of to the machine shop operator... to the salesperson... The mind that had the idea that ONE PERSON put together a clock is so simplistic that it takes a Christian to believe!

Hahahah!
I read this question and assumed you were arguing in favour of evolution...clocks have to develop! Not just appear. And you were making a creationist point? Well I think that proves something... That the two things are closer together than you think... And that in a lot of ways neither makes any sense.

You are soooo right. I always thought that clocks grew on trees. So who planned the creation of god who is even MORE complex then anything that had to have been planned on earth? Hmmmm, Maybe there's a "universal" wall mart.

I prayed to a god, and I didn't think it just made itself; but lo and behold it actually just made itself. I was praying to a self-making god.
So now the story of the watch doesn't even faze me.
