Don't say it's not. Just answer. I already know your answer, so don't bother. Seriosly though, if your right... than nothing happens to me. But if i'm right than something rather unpleasent might happen to you. All i'm saying is that it deserves some true research. If you try to say science proves it, than it just proves you haven't done your research. Wait before you get angry, I never used to believe in god. you know what stopped me.... Either my scoffing walking after my own lusts. Or flat out my foolish pride.

Jefferson was controversial for most of his 83 years of life and after he died he became even more so. What prompted Jefferson to write the quote all men are created equal was the fact that slaves were not yet considered men but as property.

I dont care if its historically inaccurate just as long as it makes perfect sense.

Don't they see that we're not forcing them in any way? I mean we just want to share something we have. If they don't want it, then, fine! That's their choice! Their blood isn't on our hands, since we tried to tell them, and they do not believe. I mean it's their decisssion--we all have free will, right? But why does society say that we cram it down their throats?

You can answer if you're a Christian.

Yahoo Community Guidelines set out by Yahoo says:

Being courteous.
Remember, we're a diverse community of people with diverse opinions. *Everyone* wants to be treated with respect, and showing respect to others makes the community better for all members.

Why are Jehovah's Witnesses exempt from being everyone by the moderators?

Venting, ranting, or using hate speech.
Yahoo! Answers isn't a soapbox to vent personal frustrations or rant about issues . We are a community of people with diverse beliefs, opinions, and backgrounds, so please be respectful and keep hateful and incendiary comments off Yahoo! Answers.

Again people such like Unsilenced Lamb and Nina are immune and can can disrespect an organization of over 6 million people where as if it was another major religion they would be suspended.

I risk account suspension for speaking out at these injustices.

My school is very Christian, though is still public. My science teacher is very Christian. We were talking about fossils and how old the Earth is (4.6 billion years). One kid raised his hand and said "I thought the Earth was 6,000 years old". My teacher looked at him with a confused look, at just continued on. It's obvious that my teacher believes the Earth is 4.6 billion years, same with everyone else in the class.Except that kid.

I noticed that some people on here do to. How can you with all the evidence we have that tells us otherwise? I believe in a God and evolution. I believe the Goddess made it happen.

“For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil; wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge; for every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ; wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God.
“But whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny him, and serve not God, then ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of the devil; for after this manner doth the devil work, for he persuadeth no man to do good, no, not one; neither do his angels; neither do they who subject themselves unto him. . . .
“Wherefore, I beseech of you, brethren, that ye should search diligently in the light of Christ that ye may know good from evil; and if ye will lay hold upon every good thing, and condemn it not, ye certainly will be a child of Christ.”

Without judging it for not being in your religion tell me what you think of this scripture.

Why do Trinitarians use this verse to support the Trinity doctrine? Its clearly taken out of context, and the proof of that is in the 17th Chapter of John.

John 17:11,12
I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—SO THAT THEY MAY BE ONE AS WE ARE ONE.

21 that all of them MAY BE ONE, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

So isn't it clear that Jesus wasn't referring to a Trinity?

If so, does that suggest to you that your own religion does NOT have all of the answers? Does that mean it may be acceptable to follow more than one religion? Or, should we borrow a little from each faith to create a religion of many truths?

If not, how are you sure you've chosen to worship in the correct way? What are your criteria for a "correct" faith?

I am a Christian and I say Merry Christmas bescause X-Mas {as I was taught in a Public school down in the 2nd grade} was rude. The teacher didn't want to see it. The X is a way to leave Christ out of Christmas and therefore is rude. Does anyone else who is offended by this ever tilt the X to make it look like a cross? How many people are offended by this?
