I have been trying to learn about the history of the early church, and when reading about the Gnostics, (1st century Christians) I discovered that they actually believed in a metaphorical savior, not a literal one. This led me to explore earlier beliefs and I learned that almost all dietys from early pagan religions have a Jesus like story in them. See the link below for a list.

Just wondering how Christians account for this?

Please don't invoke the devil clause, unless you have to because these religions predated Christianity and in some cases Judaism.

Ok, so I know this sounds weird but I've seen spirit beings my whole life. I"m not scared of them...well sometimes I am.

I've moved into this new house. This presence has showed itself to me three times. First when I didn't live there, in the reflection of the TV as a girl with a fringe and long blonde hair. Then the second and third time with the same hair but black. she's just standing (once she was sitting) there regarding me, almost intrigued or watching me sleep. I can feel her there and when I open my eyes, she smiles at me. The last two times I saw her she visually presented herself to me in the darkness of my room late at night. Last night it was 12.30am.
My cat sits there and stares at her too when she appears. I don't know what she wants and now feel safer sleeping with my light on, but I'm intrigued to know what she wants.

Is it right to go on tv wearing $2000 dollar suits and thousands in jewlery and tell poor people that if they send them money(watch TBN for a display of gaudy jewlerly and flashy suits)....God will bless them? After they leave the studio they get chauffered or drive their luxury cars to their multimillion dollar mansions...while a widowed grandmother sends them half her pension check..looking for the "financial breakthrough" that they promised her..is that right?

Actually at this position I m at a position that I got in doing wrong things and yet used to always repent and ask for forgiveness everytime after that..Now at this position I want to make a real apology after all those long times. And now i find it difficult to do that.
Can anybody over here who is a Muslim help me out. I want to seriously make a repentation this time..But am finding it difficult

Atheists? Why do you always attempt to "teach" and "enlighten" others and try to save them from their "delusions" and their "virus of the mind" when most of them live no more or less of a normal/decent life than, say, an atheist or agnostic? Aren't you being as annoyingly fanatical as any overly fervent Christian?

2) Jesus. Some dude killed by the Romans about 2000 years ago; the image of him nailed to a piece of wood is the symbol of a close-minded cult known as "Christianity". He amused himself by telling highly embellished fantastical stories to his followers, most of whom have not yet gotten the joke.

3) Almighty Ra. One of the mighty gods of the Ancient Egyptians.

4) Ganesha. Hindu god with the head of an elephant.

5) Buddha. A fat man who formed one of the more peaceful religions.

6) Reverend X. Eccentric public access TV show host, whose profanity-filled shows can be seen on YouTube.

And last but not least...

7) Count Chocula. A vampire who makes chocolate-flavored cereal with little chunks of marshmallow in it.


I'm a strict Count Chocotarian myself, but what about you guys?
