Like if a guy's first sexual experience was with a guy he could be gay and if a girl's first sexual experience was with a girl she could most likely become a lesbian.

It's not really my opinion, just what I thought was a good question my friend asked me that i left unanswered. My first sexual experience was with a girl and I've felt like I've only been interested in girls all my life, but it makes me think...

No I wouldn't really say that....I mean I have a couple of Gay friends who had sex with girls before they ever came out...I think it works on a case to case basis.

think it is not as simple as that. I know of two women I knew years ago who stated that they were lesbian but we could have had a relationship with either I found out later and both girls were turned onto women at an early age, and one of them had a thing about trying to find her mother. I know a girl who once said that she could turn any girl into a lesbian and I believe that because a woman knows better than a man how to please another woman. If we look at Anne Hesche, we see a lesbian who said the sex was fantastic with Ellen but left her to be married and have children divorced that man and got into another relationship with another man. There is also the case of Jamie Lee Curtis who has more male hormones than female and yet is very female.
A person is like a diamond with many different facets that come together to make one unit but concentrating on any one destroys the diamond. I think the biggest problem with the question of sexuality is that once there is a category some person or persons believe they fall into that category and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy and way of life so the more we talk about homosexuality or lesbianism, the bigger chance that someone trying to find their sexuality will go one way or the other without making their own decision based upon what they are exposed to by all the talk.

Yes, I think it does for girls but I am not sure about the guys. I noticed Merchell's reply in particular because I went to a girls' school too and I had my first sexual experience with a girl friend from school when I was 16. 'Same sex' was not uncommon at school and although i did not keep in touch with all of my friends in the years after we left a number were bi or lesbian.

I'm not sure if this is any kind of relation but my friend and i both had a similar experience. when i was about 7 my mom's friend's daughter would i guess "touch" me (she was like 13) and it happened later on in the same year with one of my girl cousins i think she was 10 or 11. and now at 17 i consider myself straight, i have a boyfriend and i dont think i could every marry a girl and live the lesbian life.
but i'm totally comfortable (sexually) with both sexes, so is my friend. so I think, yes, your first sexual experiences do ((or can)), in fact influence your orientation.

Depends, you are who you are so you can be gay weather or not you've had sex with anyone. But there are some people that like to experiance everything, so maybe they get a little board with one thing and move to something else... Or maybe you have a different type of person that isn't sexually experianced at all and just take what they can get... but I think your sexually orientation mainly depends on who you truly are, but I'd say there are people as I described.....

Most gay people I know, including myself, experienced sex for the first time with a person of the opposite sex. But there are people who knew straight off that they're more attracted to same sex partners, even at a young age. I had crushes on girls when I was little, until I was told that was a bad thing.

No, the sexual orientation cannot be determined by the first sexual experience. The sexual orientation is a very complex subject and debatable on all fronts.

I'm not sure. But the last guy I was with was an introvert (kept to himself and didn't talk much, majorly antisocial). when I broke up with him he confessed that I was the first girl he was with but not the first person. He was with a guy friend of his before out of loneliness and I don't know for sure, but I think he is at least bi if not gay. he had a thing for my butt and enjoyed anal. I think it is a definite possibility. My first time was with a guy and the idea of being with a woman is just not appealing to me.

No, I think you're born one way or the other, and your experiences have no influence on your sexual orientation. Except maybe to help you figure it out.

Definitely. Also, because those first experiences usually happen at a young age, things that occur in our childhood have a great impact on who we become sexually, or otherwise.
