That stuff in the screwtop bottle with the rabbi on it that gets trotted out at Passover is no way to honor the Fruit of the Vine.

very true, the sweet kiddish wine, is not good.

But depending on where you live their are some really good ones out there.

Baron Hetzrog is the name brand of a kosher Californian wine they produces a variety of quality wines.

The same goes for the Israeli Golan Heights Winery. Which you can find all over the US.

yes, we call it hammer wine because it gives you a headache as if you were hit on the noggin with a hammer.
in recent years the wine industry in israel has become quite prolific and anyone with a cellar opens a "boutique" winery. most are kosher, and i'm told by people who say they know about wines also quite drinkable.

NO! Real Jews do not drink Maneshevitz-- only French and Italian wines.

The Golan produces some good stuff though..

No. Lay off the kosher stuff.

For good wine, you have to get it from Napa, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Alsace, Tuscany, Australia, NZ, Chile, Argentina, to name a few.
