I'm just being curious if there are others who stick to the Biblical view of gender clothing.

I want to wear only dresses but can't right now done to money.

policeman pulls over a driver for swerving in and out of lanes on the highway. He tells the guy to blow a breath into a breathalyzer.

“I can’t do that, officer.”

“Why not?”

“Because I’m an asthmatic. I could get an asthma attack if I blow into that tube.”

“Okay, we’ll just get a urine sample down at the station.”

“Can’t do that either, officer.”

“Why not?”

“Because I’m a diabetic. I could get low blood sugar if I pee in a cup.”

“Alright, we could get a blood sample.”

“Can’t do that either, officer.”

“Why not?”

“Because I’m a hemophiliac. If I give blood I could die.”

“Fine then, just walk this white line.”

“Can’t do that either, officer.”

“Why not?”

“Because I’m drunk.”

Was jesus not supposedly a living human? Was he not supposedly a educated individual? If jesus was the sun of god and thus perfect why did he not write his own word? And thus be sure people get his version and not what someone else says he said. How can you still believe this nonsense?

Pascal's wager, a watch in the woods, divine prophecy, miracles and miracle workers...all the religions have them. Is there any you can think of that you might try against atheists that another religion couldn't use almost identically against your religion?

Not quite the same thing but I had a relative that was bipolar and whether it was part of the disease or a character flaw, I don't know.
I've known others who told fantastic stories of careers, fortunes gained and lost, ties to famous people etc.
One person would start a story and it would grow by leaps and bounds. Another person was in a head on collision but told their child who was an infant during the wreck that they had been hit by a train.
Soem chronic liars seem to lie just to hear themselves speak others have an agenda.
Not to mention the deadbeat Dads and Moms who are always coming to visit the children and never show.

i wonder if all the christians who are staging boycotts against the movie the golded compass, and going on national news networks to promote this boycott realize that they're generating more buzz for this movie than any of the previews. i remember seeing a trailer for this movie and just thinking it was just another kiddy flick that i had no interest in watching. i had no idea it was about promoting atheist until i heard some extreme christian group on fox news talking about how they were going to boycott the movie. now i want to watch it. it's actually becoming one of the most talked about movies of the year. way to go fundies. nothing like a boycott to give a movie some free publicity. if this movie should happen to become number one at the box office, will you be kicking yourselves?

Do you believe that you can have disagreements on topics such as evolution/intelligent design and still be a Christian if you believe Jesus is the way to salvation?

Or do you feel that you must take everything literally within the Bible to be truly saved?

This arose through a discussion I had over the weekend with a friend on differences in Christian sects.

2 nights ago I was just sitting and thinking about life. I just felt like something was missing and I guess you could say I started to pray and ask God for help. I did not grow up all religious or anything but do believe there has got to be a God. Iv'e heard people say Jesus is God so I talked to him. When I started talking this peace or love like I never felt before started to do something in me. I feel like a different person. Has anything like this ever happened to anyone on here? I started to read the Bible and I can't put it down. I tried to read it before but gave up everytime. Even as I am typing I feel a joy that I can't explain. What the heck is happening? I mean, I like what's happening but could someone help explain.

Since Jesus Christ is suppose to enter the east gate in the 2nd coming?
President Bush read a joint Israeli-Palestinian declaration in which both countries agreed to create a Palestinian state on the ground before Bush leaves office in January 2009.

The declaration did not recognize Israel as a Jewish state in spite of intense negotiations the past few weeks for the Palestinians to agree to such a clause.

Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert are to meet biweekly, with implementation of commitments monitored by the U.S., according to the declaration.

After Bush's address, Abbas called for a Palestinian state to be established with its capital in Jerusalem.
He alluded to Palestinian control over the Temple Mount – Judaism's holiest site.

"We need EAST Jerusalem to be our capital and to access our holy shrines," said Abbas

Azal - is the Eastern gate
The Jewish people run to meet Him and enter the city with Jesus

If you are an atheist and you happened to have a disagreement with someone, anyone do you assume that the person you are disagreeing with is a theist? If you receive poor customer service, confronted by a stranger who is just rude, or just taken advantage of out in public do you just assume that the person is a theist?

If a customer complains about you on the job, a fellow employee complains about you on the job, or if you are reprimanded do you assume that it is because you are an atheist and not because they could have a valid reason?

We learn now from the Bible that the Rapture will be May 21th 2011 AD.
Five month's* after, the Ultimate Terror: Judgment Day Oktober 21th 2011 AD
* And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. (Revelation 9:5)

The Bible is a Book that is absolutely true and trustworthy. It is the centerpiece, the keystone of this study.

I'm doing a paper about religion in the face of death, with reference to the Holocaust and how the Jewish people reacted religiously. In general how do people act religiously when they are faced with problems, fear, death, danger, etc.? Some cling to it. Some blame it for their problems and begin to question it. ANY BOOKS THAT COULD HELP WOULD BE AWESOME!!!

Christians may be "the religion with most adherents" or "an ever-growing faith" BUT "we're God's privileged people"...

"The Bible can easily defy science", "There's science in the Bible" BUT "The Bible is NOT a science book" or "It focuses on faith, not the material world"

"Everything that's in the Bible has been proved already" BUT "I don't need evidence or proof, all I need is FAITH"

"Dinosaurs never existed; they're not in the Bible and Satan/Mad Scientists planted fossils" BUT "The Behemoth is a dinosaur mentioned in the Bible"

"God is omniscient; he knows what will happen" and "God has a plan for everyone" BUT "God, please help me (ergo: change your plan)" or "The power of prayer is mighty"

"The OT law is not valid since Jesus came to die for our sins" BUT "The Ten Commandments must be followed" and "The Genesis is the true history of Creation"
