None of it is sacriligious, that's what some Muslims don't get.
Blackacre -- anyone can name any of their pets, their cars, their stuffed animals, etc., Jesus or God and that doesn't mean they deserve to be given lashes with a whip and have the skin ripped from their backs.
Please. That's THE difference. No Christian is going to demand jail, torture or death for someone who is disrespectful to Jesus. But these Muslims are literally going to insane levels to protect something that shouldn't have to be protected.
They themselves are guilty of the idolatry of valuing a man's name over human life.

In many Muslim nations, calling someone an animal (dog, monkey, etc.) is an insult to intelligence. People are smarter than animals.
Much like calling someone retarded here, but at an insult level of talking about someone's mom.
Perhaps naming this bear after the prophet, they grasped at straws and came to the insult conclusion in the name of their prophet.

Donkeys named Jesus. LOL. Seriously, go to Mexico. I can guarantee you'll find a donkey named Jesus. Not to mention, that my neighbor had a cat named Jesus.
Anyway, to answer the question: I think in todays society, Mohammed is a horrible name for anyone or anything.

...STONE HER!
((catti))
monty python, people...lighten up "All I said was, that meal was good enough for Jehova"
that was christians in the middle east 1000 years ago, if that long.
This is trully why Muslims get a bad rap, it's because people in the middle east are insane...that poor woman really thought she was doing a nice, honourable thing and integrating making the kids feel accepted, bit part of me thinks she shouldn't have been in the Sudan in the first place.
my teddy bear is called Morresy

Because Muslims name their children Muhammad, and the case you're referring to regards a non-Muslim so they are just waiting for any excuse to attack the person.
It is simply benevolent prejudice.
