Ah, I've been in exactly the same boat. I really hate it when I go through the entire year thinking 'that would be great for my birthday', but then am no longer interested and can't think of anything when the day rolls around.

Unfortunately, I still don't know what I want for my birthday, so probably won't be of much help to you. Still, you can't go wrong just asking for money (I like money).

If there's nothing you want, give to those who need. One answerer suggested volunteering at a homeless shelter - a wonderful idea. If your friends and family want to contribute, perhaps a donation to your favorite charity would work.

If you are very practical, gift cards for you from grocery stores, gas stations, etc. would be good.

I just had my birthday. I did not want anything, instead I went out and donated my time at a homeless shelter. Happy Birthday, but spend more time thinking of others than what you want. What do you need, that might be a better question.

How about an activity day? Try something new. Riding, ski-ing,learnig to dance whatever you feel like. Or a pamper day aroma therapy etc.

For the best help, edit your question. Tell us some things that you are into and your age. Right now you will get some vague answers. Happy Birthday.

Well that depends, what are you interested in? If video games, you should definitely ask for something Guitar hero oriented. It's a great series.

If you don't want anything, then don't ask people to get you things. Let it be a surprise, or just have no gifts and save lots of green.

A computer, a new camera, that's what I just got, a new phone, a new car, a gift card, a bag for your laptop if you have one, wireless internet, a puppy,....
