Even if it's not at night do you and your family pray together sometime throughout the day?

P.S. My wife, 3 kids and myself pray together every evening before bed. Been doing it ever since we got married.

I am speaking of the well known types such as Brontosaurus, T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Hadrosaurs, Triceratops, Allosaurus, etc., and not anything that some loon wants to say still exists. Fundies, I am thanking you in advance for being specific with your answers, and for providing your sources.

She told me it's ok to wear jeans (as long as they weren't all torn up) to an interview for a high school. I want to be a student there, not a teacher.. so I guess they'll realize that I'm a teenager. But are nice jeans (with a formal top that looks cute with jeans) ok for interviews?

With the help of a fertility specialist, a 65 year old woman has a baby. All her relatives come to visit and meet the newest member of their family. When they ask to see the baby, the 65 year old mother says, "Not yet."

A little later they ask to see the baby again. Again the mother says, "Not yet."

Finally they say, "When can we see the baby?"

And the mother says, "When the baby cries."

So they ask, "Why do we have to wait until the baby cries?"

The new mother says, "I forgot where I put it."

Jesus was the WORD...right?

The only WORD that existed was TORAH at the time of Jesus Arrival. He was an OLD TESTAMENT SCROLL, walking, living and breathing.

So when you reject the OT, but say "Jesus was the WORD" , you are saying "I'm a democrat" "But I LOVE those Republicans!"

Anyone see the LOGIC?

I'm sure Paul quotes are being readied to justify your Torahless lives. But lets keep it to Jesus, the OT scroll. Paul wrote to specific groups, and you apply it to your lives cuz its convenient. If Paul was in America, would he write a letter on how damn holy you all are and that you need to stop living such a legalistic life? Or say "REPENT!!!"" ?

So, no Paul just for once.

I overheard some people in the store saying that. Wouldn't that be a trip down memory lane?

It appears I've been blocked by a Christian for answering his questions from my heathen point of view - why the fear? I'm always polite but question everyone's religion, including my own and welcome discussion.

I have to complete a timeline for my history class that states when each of the following religions originated:

Hinduism
Buddhism
Judaism
Christianity
Muslim/Islam
Confucianism

Please include the dates they were founded, in years (i.e. 2,000 B.C.; not the 7th century). Also, if someone could help me figure out how to list them, for example, does 2,000 B.C. come before 500 B.C., or 300 A.D. go before or after 4,000 A.D.

Thanks Alot!

We go out for happy hour sometimes and my boss is like blacks are this and that..very negatively. I really just laugh it off and so to the other guys. I felt really bad today when he started talking about one of my beautiful black co-workers (looks like Naomi Cambell but not so much of a ho) very degrading saying that he just asks her to bring him things on purpose so he can look at her. Lots of "pretty for a dark black" comments and stuff. The other guys (all white) thought it was pretty funny stuff...they will prob follow suit. I mean really if she only KNEW the stuff they were saying about her!

Any one else work or live with people like this?

My young niece got married on November 10th and just jumped right into her "Thank You " cards. Unfortunately, she didn't receive anything from my brother-in-law and sister-in-law*, who, like me, are thirty-something. (*They are very responsible, working adults with a 4 year old and live locally.) My niece is unsure of what to do.
I said wait until one month passes, then go ahead and send a card that just basically says "Thank you for coming". If there WAS supposed to be a gift, they will figure out that it wasn't received by the "Thank You". That way, my niece isn't calling them and flat out asking, "Um, where's my envelope?"
My niece wants to go ahead and tell them that they should cancel and reissue a check because she never got it.
What would you do?
