It's inevitable at some point. Even if we manage to dodge asteroids and gamma ray bursts eventually the sun is coming for us.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
Actually, the world I knew, ended about thirty years ago and just keeps spiraling downward.
That may be a sign that the real end is coming but we are on Gods time frame. It works a little different.
We are very close to the one world market and the need for personal, safe, identification is ever so obvious. Still there are a few more things that must take place before unbelievers will have to face there maker without clothing and trembling.
'ts good to be prepared.

The world is quickly nearing its final moments, just watch the nightly news. We do not know however the time when it ends because the Bible doesn't give it. But the Bible does give signs to look for, and according to the signs we are at the door. Natural disasters, moral degeneracy, increase of knowledge, etc. are all signs that Christ is about to return.
Some people may say that we always had these problems, and that's true. But the Bible says that the frequency and intensity will increase. The word "sorrows" in Matthew 24:8 comes from a Greek work "odin" which means birth pains. Just like birth pains increase in intensity and frequency so will the signs predicted in the Bible. The recent increase in earthquakes, diseases, etc. all testify that the end is very near and we are living in Earth's final moments of history.
I recommend watching the short presentation called "A Planet in Upheaval" which is the first in a series of five dealing with the Second Coming of Christ. Go to http://www.itiswritten.com/podcasts
find "The Appearing" and click on iTunes podcast.
I also recommend watching the amazing movie called "Final Events" which captures Earths' final moments, the rapture, tribulation, antichrist, etc. -- http://www.youtube.com/profile_favorites?user=AmazingFacts

Sure, the end of the world is coming but if you mean soon or like in 2012 or something only God knows for sure.
2 Peter 3:3-14 knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. 4 They will say, "Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation."
5 For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, 6 and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. 7 But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.
11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!
13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. 14 Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.

i don't think it is. I mean people have been saying the world is coming to an end for many many years and it still hasn't happened.
But I like the way Robert frost put it:
Fire and Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Yes. The end of my life on this world is coming so it's all the same to me. Whether the world ends in fifty years or my life does it's still the end. Period.

Yes I do. If you study Revelations you will see, without doubt, that we have entered the final state of the church. All the pointers are that the other 6 stages have passed.
Not that I am going around shouting - 'the end is nigh' but it would be a good idea to put your personal life in order - because there will not be any warning before Christ comes again (like a thief in the night) to gather up his children.
ps But you might like to think on this:
The end is as close as your own death - which as we know could be anytime. Are you ready?

I think that the signs are there. Soon is a relative term though. It is suppose to be a terrifying time ... not something to look forward to.
I understand that throughout history, every generation thought that the end would come soon. Perhaps we are just like them. The bible says that only God knows the hour and the day.

every generation has people who believe they are living in the end of days. It is rubbish. At its mildest it shows that the person is religious and has a religious view of the world and causality. At its worst, it is a dangerous death wish for the whole world. Basically, it's bonkers.

If this doesn't describe the end times, I don't know what does:
2 Timothy 3:1-9 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)
Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society
2 Timothy 3
Godlessness in the Last Days
1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
6They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth. 8Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth—men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
This is our world today, just as described back in the 1st century.
