I'm unsure of religion. My father is actually Mormon, but I'm not. I watched the way my mother struggled raising her 7 children, then dealing with him every day and night. She was to stay home, she wasn't allowed to have a job. She wasn't allowed to have a vehicle, or get an education. My grandfather believed that women were not as smart as men. The Mormon religion is a very male-dominated religion, and it was created that way purposely. When I was in church, as a kid, even at 8 years old I'd think to myself "These women are brain-washed". My father is a perfect example of a typical Mormon man. They belittle their women, have no respect for them, and for the most part, are very jealous, cowardly men. They gather in groups at church and have meetings that only the men can attend. And, when they hold outings (be it a baseball game or something), the women are not allowed to play. When there are cook-outs, the men gather around the grill outdoors and talk, socialize, drink, and have a good time. Then women are inside doing all the cooking, cleaning, and preparing. And, marriage in the Mormon religion is a subject I'm not sure I'd like to get into. Tell me it's not true. I watched it happen for years with my own eyes. Overall, the religion is not for me. It was what my father tried to get me to believe in, and it never sank in with me. I couldn't be controlled by a man who I was supposed to love...who was supposed to love me. I believe when you are commited as a couple, you're a team. You're married, so you can spend your lives together, not alone. And raise a family together, and grow old, together. Not so one can be a controlled, slave-like driven, love-deprived, brainwashed bearer of more spineless, gutless, Mormon men. After growing up in a Mormon household, I'm still searching for a religion that pleases me, and feels true to my heart. I have no religion to compare this to.

My faith is called the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is what is known as the Holy Bible, the Word of God.
It is different from that of the mormons because it stands on the Word of God alone.
The mormon religion has many man made practices and rituals, along with books other then the bible they use adding to the bible.
The Word of God says that we are not to add or take away from the Word of God. The mormon religion along with most of the so called christian religions today has added or taken away or done both added and taken away from the Word of God.
The end result of this is deception resulting in leading men further from God instead of towards God.

I'm Roman Catholic. Some of the differences are that the LDS (Mormons) don't accept the authority of the Roman Catholic Pope. They don't pray the rosary, venerate Mary or the saints, or share all of the same sacraments. And the Catholic Church doesn't accept Joseph Smith as a prophet.
The similarities are that both LDS and Catholics believe in Jesus Christ, both worship in churches, and observe Baptism and Communion.

As a catholic, I can trace an unbroken lineage of my faith back to Jesus.
The Mormon teaching is that this lineage fell into apostasy, and therefore Jesus had to come to north America.
This means that in Matthew, Jesus statement that "Peter, you are a rock, and upon this rock I shall build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail upon it." was false, according to Mormon theology. This would make a Jesus a false prophet, and Mormoans and legitimate Christians are all wrong.
You might do some remedial english comp, and learn when to use that apostrophe. . . .

I'm Catholic. No one in my religion went into the desert, dropped some acid, talked to a lizard and then started a cult. Also, when I got married, the church was filled with my family and friends. The guest list was not limited to a minister, my parents and inlaws. The five of them did not watch me consumate my marriage with my husband to ensure that penetration occurred so that the marriage pact could be considered "valid." We got a hotel in Palm Springs for our honeymoon and forgot to put the "Do not disturb" sign on the door so the cleaning lady saw both of us naked. She didn't speak English anyway, so it doesn't even compare to a mormon wedding.
