I've always wondered about the spiritual side of the so called royality family what make them royal.Ive studied history that the queen hired privateers to plunder the spanish ships laden with gold they had gotten from the indians in south america.Until that time the queen was just a hoollum like many others & the royal family obtained their rorality status by roughing up the citizenery much like is done at many sports events. There is an ole say"you can steal & become rich and after it has had a few generations it becomes respectable".Do you think the royal family had anything to do with princeness Diana's death?

Guys please, I don't understand the fuss, please try and understand the difference, neither will drawing similarities will convert us MUSLIMS to hinduism, nor will accepting the fact will convert you into MUSLIMS! let's observe the differences:-
1)if idols were only meant to face in direction of, why are different hindus giving different answers. I have got mails from hindus telling me that even they don't worship the stautes as GOD but need them to concerntrate upon when they pray. Are you telling me those hindus are lying? If yes, howcome muslims don't give different versions about the role of KABAH? whereas amongst hindus, some say that it is for representation of GOD and on one hand is you(you are the only one I have come across who is saying this) who says that it is just something you face when they pray to ALLAH.

2) If there was any comparison to be drawn between KABAH and idols then even idols should have been only ONE like kabah is, unlike how it is there in every hindu household which hindus face while worshipping, you may find pictures of KABAH put up in muslim houses or even small sample pieces but we never bother to even look at it or face it while praying whereas it is a known fact that all hindus who keep statues face it while praying.

3) If idols are only for reference, why are there gender varieties such as durga ma, ganpati pa pa, saraswati ma, shiva etc, we don't have any genders attached to KABAH, infact we don't even decorate it like a human being is dressed, there is only this black cloth with a verse written on it which is changed at intervals(when the cloth gets dusty) but without any changes of colour or appearance.

4) we don't have KABAH being made in every corner of saudi, there is just ONE which was built by PROPHET IBRAHIM(P.B.U.H) and was later on renovated in times of PROPHET MUHAMMAD(P.B.U.H). Here in india we have artisans making murthis every where.

5) we have stood on KABAH to give azaan, hindus do that while immersion, well, they have to because the statue is so gigantic at times that it takes more than man power just pushing it in water, to immerse it. Do hindus stand on it WHILE PRAYING in temples or at home or in offices.?

6) If it was really about direction then why don't all hindus face in one direction and pray to ALLAH, say any one temple in the whole country, then there can be some comparison, otherwise the fact that there is an idol in almost every home says a lot about how a hindu faces it individually while praying, we don't face different versions of KABAH, say if someone has a model of KABAH at home, we don't start facing that leaving the real direction behind.

7)when hindus are looking at a statue and praying, they are facing different geographical directions all over the world, some hindus keep their stautes facing east, some west, so all hindus keeping statues, pray looking at stautes but kept in various directions. That way a hindu praying in india facing an idol kept in east side of his house has nothing to do with another hindu praying in california who has kept his idol in say north of his house. This hugely seperates the purpose KABAH was built for. Because of KABAH, all muslims praying all over the world at different times of the day(5 times a day) get united because all are facing in that ONE common direction even if they are not able to match each other by praying together at the same time .

8) KABAH is the HOUSE OF ALLAH and not representation of ALLAH, whereas idols are made to represent GOD at the time of prayer. Sorry brother, I don't want to sound hurting but this comparison buisness seems more like a mischief by some jerk who does not have any other valid ways of running down our practice pattern. Infact, this is something only being heard in this age, previously even in films, hindus ever talked about KABAH as something we muslims worship.

9)Finally last but not the least, ALLAH ordered PROPHET IBRAHIM TO BUILD KABAH AND THEN ORDERED ALL MUSLIMS TO FACE IT WHILE PRAYING, where is it ordered in HINDU scriptures that you have to make Idols, stand before them and pray.

No offences to the way HINDUS pray , that's their religion, whether ISLAM agrees with it or not, IDOL worship has nothing in common with KABAH faced by muslims while praying. I Don't understand this , why are hindus behaving insecure with this topic, accepting the fact will not make them muslims?

The question in Genesis that Cain asked "Am I my brother's keeper?"

My understanding is the answer to this question is Yes.Becuase what one does can affect many and what many do can affect one;so we must mainly be accountable for ourselves;but to also be accountable for correcting others when their beliefs and actions are in the wrong. Atheist tend to give a lot of answers to the effect of "people can believe what they want to" "do what you want as long as it doesnt affect me" ect ect...

Is it correct to say atheist dont agree with the answer to Cain's question?Or that ya'll agree with it in part, up to a certain point that's convient for your atheist beliefs?

you assert that Jesus claimed to be God when you quote him in John 14:9: "He that has seen me has seen the Father". Didn’t Jesus clearly say that people have never seen God, as it says in John 5:37: "And the father himself which Has sent me, has borne witness of me. You have NEITHER HEARD HIS VOICE AT ANY TIME NOR SEEN HIS SHAPE"?

Disclaimer: I don't mean to challenge the notion of gay rights or suggest that the GLBT community owes anything to the Black clergy. However, it seems that many prominent GLBT voices (e.g. Dan Savage) often criticize / attack the Black clergy about some of its teachings (and the existence of fellows like Donnie McClurkin), but never give props to guys like Al Sharpton (who is in favor of gay marriage) and Jessie Jackson (who has been in favor of gay rights at least since 1984, way before it became fashionable). As we say in the 'hood, Wassup with that?

are uneducated people more religious than educated people? to me it would seem so. it you clearly think about it ... religion convinces people that there is an invisible man, who they never met, who watches every action they do at all times and in all places.

I just wanted to know from people who are muslims and people of all other religions feel about Islam after the 9/11 attack on America. I understand that people are angry at muslims but since I am a muslim I say that the people who hijacked those planes were angry at the U.S.. I'm a muslim and I think that not all muslims are the same and that those people who killed all those innocent people will go to Jahanam(the Hell fire) while other people who have not commited the worst thing a muslim can do might just go to Janah (Paradise). The people who killed those innocent people have 1. Commited '' Shirk'' the worst thing a muslim can do and 2. are probably no longer considered mulims by Allah (swt)(God).

and if everyone reported every question that was offensive to them, R&S wouldn't exist?

can we stop being so quick to report questions, unless they are blantantly racist, violent, adult in nature or harmful to children?????

someone's question about who god was talking to when he said "let there be light" was deleted. yes, chances are that the question was meant to open your eyes to your own beliefs. whether you're religious or not, don't you think you should be able to answer the tough questions, or point the asker in the direction of someone who can, instead of trying to dismiss the fact that those questions exist by reporting them into deletion?
