My reasonable questions using the word Jihadist are being blocked by Yahoo and just not appearing. Jihadist seems like a better word to use than Muslim terrorist or Islamist and less offensive to ordinary Muslims... but is it?

Actually that is offensive to ordinary Muslims, since you're implying that jihad is synonymous with terrorism. It actually has a far more benign meaning to moderate Muslims.

Why all the effort trying to relabel?

Every single "jihadist" is muslim. Every single "islamist terrorist" is muslim.

Changing the name won't make it any less offensive or clear.

no. i consider myself a jihadist for dealing with the opression of my most recent employer and staying strong and standing firm with my beliefs about covering my hair.
However, i do not support terrorism, because that is not supporting islam and standing up for it. That is destroying it along with many innocent lives.

Say anything you want about christians, but offend muslims, and you suddenly face censorship. An interesting double standard we seem to be up against.

I don't think so. Going on jihad means struggling. It does not necessarily mean going postal. There are many types of struggle. Many being internal and have no external manifestations of harming other people or property.

In The Name Of ALLAH The Most Gracious The Most Merciful. Before resorting to the debate of Jihadist and the terrorist let us find it out from the Quraan what the Almighty has ordained about Jihad."Warfare is ordained for you though it is hateful to you, but it may happen that you hate a thing which is good for you(1). Sanction is given to those who fight because they have been wronged:and Allah is indeed able to give them victory(2). There is clear message that in the times of Jihad Hypocrites and Disbelievers are to be dealt with harshly during Jihad. "O Prophet! strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites! be harsh with them.Their ultimade abode is hell, a hapless journey's end(3).Jihad against satan and his patrons has been urged. "Those who believe do battle for the cause of Allah; and those who disbelieve do battle for the cause of idols. So fight the minions of the devil. Indeed the devil's strategy is ever weak"(4).The jihad should continue until persecution is no more " And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah. But if they cease, then surely Allah is Seer of what they do"(5).For the believers who engage in Jihad there is a clear message " Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fights in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious on him We shall bestow a vast reward"(6).Jihad was also ordained in the Torah and Gospel (which has since been tempered)."No doubt Allah has bought from the believers their lives and their wealth because the Garden will be theirs;they shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain. It is a promise, which is binding on Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Quran. Who fulfills his covenant better than Allah! rejoice then in your bargain that you have made, for that is the Supreme triumph" (7). "And one who attacks you, attack him like manner as he attacked you. Observe your duty to Allah and know that Allah is with those who ward off (evil)"(8). "O Prophet! Exhort the believers to fight. if there be of you twenty steadfast they shall overcome two hundred and if there be of you a hundred steadfast they shall overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are a folk without intelligence"(9)."And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah 'dead'. No they are living, only you perceive not"(10).Islam does not permit to initiate offensive war or hostilities " Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Indeed Allah loves not, aggressors"(11). Fight to be avoided if the enemy is inclined to peace "And if they incline to peace, incline you also to it, and trust in Allah. No doubt He is the Hearer, the Knower"(12).
Above verses of Quran provide an ample insight of jihad. These clearly bring out the concept of Jihad. Jihad is thus not meant for personal aggrandizement or national pride but is imperitive when the disbelivers impose war on belivers for thier vested interests or to overawe the belivers or do some act against the muslim community with a plan to destroy them or to deprive them of their holdings or wage a war against the State where the Muslim rule. Jihad is also permitted where the disbelivers do acts against solidarity of ummah and conspire against the belivers in order to bring them misries.
Therefore a muslim will never figt an infidel for his personal venom.Rather Islam is a religion of peace and prohibits aggression.Terrorism is an antithesis in Islamic way of life. It will be a sheer malice to equate a Jihadi with terrorist or Islamic Terrorist.A person who wages a war in the way of Allah is Jihadi. On the other hand a person who wages a war for personal benefit or for some mundane reasons or on the behest of some other bringing undue misry to people is a terrorist. There is no reward for the terrorist. Rather the terrorist has no place in the Islamic polity.Persons or nations who bring misry to mankind for worldly benefits and to establish their economic and military supremacy are terrorists.Islam does not recognise terms like cut throat competition.Islam does not permit any to blossom at the expense of other. In modern parlance terrorists are those who try to create dissensions between and among men simply with a motive that their weapon manufacturing factories will operate only if a battle or war ensue as a result of successful dissension ploy. Terrorists are those who rule through economic weapons forinstance through stock exchanges through commodity markets and through block politics and last not the least by establishing Forums like WTO to deprive the mankind the fruits of their hard labour and of their natural resources. Terrorists are those who want the entire world to be a consumer market for them and exclusively keep it to themselves the right to produce. And last not the least terrorists are those who deny others access to knowlege which they believe will keep them economically dominant and militarily powerful.
It is unfortunate that those people who want to acquire economic and territorial freedom and those who want to live their lives according to their customs and believes are put to sword and labelled as terrorists. The most unfortunate aspect of this hooliganism is that in ninety percent of the cases muslims are targetted and they are at the top of the agenda after the fall of Soviet Union.Muslims are labelled as fundamentalists and terrorists.Puppet regimes in Islamic countries are supported by West in order to have hold over the vast Islamic world. The puppets by default are against any scientific and Industrial developments in their socities. When any puppet try to think of a change he is removed. Puppets who promote consumerism in their respective countries are encouraged.
Suffice it would be to say that the producing socities will continue to label the muslims terrorists fundamentalists and Jihadis. it is very convenient for these to keep this ideological status quo. Because in this status quo they keep the wheel of their factories in motion.
