When you tell me who did these things then tell me why he's labeled as a race baiter when he clearly went to the aid of whites blacks and every other race.

When you consider how you deal with people in your life and on Y/A, do you find yourself being brutally honest or honestly brutal?

This is not an unforgiveable sin even by your NWT bible, so how come you treat it as such

when one is disfellowed is one allowed back

by disfellowing are you not practicing the same catholic ritual as ex-communication

since JW's believe themselves as the only true religeon then disfellowship = damnation, if that person is no longer to be able to hear YOUR word and be saved by it?

Why do you value the donation of blood over the life it is supposed to save?

is the blood more important than the life?

why sign a pledge?
Does the bible not say we should have no oaths before God?

surely with the parable of the good samaritan, the jews refused to help the man because they would be made unclean,
and did their best to observe the law

but the samaritan with no law to observe stepped in and saved the man

what do you loearn from this parable?

And if we came from monkeys, why are there still monkeys? Don't you think it would be safer for you to believe in God? Because, if you don't believe in God and you're wrong, you'll roast in hell forever and ever. But, if you believe in God and you're wrong, you've lost nothing. Right? Anyways, why are you even here? This is a RELIGION section. Is it because misery loves company? How can you believe something came from nothing? Can an airplane fly through a junkyard and create a tornado?

Some noob asked a similar question, but it actually made me think. My first thought was that the asker was baiting Christians to answer with something like "They should all be killed and made to face God," but then I realized that killing a bunch of atheists wouldn't actually end the existence of atheism. Atheism is an idea; it doesn't end with its believers as long as there is still the potential for someone else to learn about it and start believing in it.

So, how could you *peacefully* prevent anyone from having a certain belief? My thought is that ending a religion would be far easier than preventing anyone from disbelieving one. The first step in either direction would be to saturate the school system-- that is, teach everyone about how evil religion x is, or teach them to be evangelical Christians from day one.

I'm still not sure, though. Please reply with your thoughts.

I am remembering
the surrendered form,
I am remembering
the difference between God's Will
and my will.

God's Will is filled with love
and Artless surrender,
vulnerability held forever
in perfect submission
with eyes wide open to the Brightness of Only God.

My will, such a limitation, endless trying
Doubt, fear, sorrow, anger,
suffering in the dark
that has no end.

To lift beyond this to Grace,
To stand, To yield,
To Shine as the Heart.

I have been Pagan for almost 10 years and still like to read books about our path...but am tired of reading the 101 type stuff. Cunningham, Starhawk and Silver Ravenwolf were informative to me 10 years ago...but now I would like to read something deeper and more involved on modern Paganism or Wiccan topics.

I walk into a cave, where I meet another man, who claims to be an angel, claims to be sent by yet another man named God. This man no. 2 (the angel) tells me some stories, claiming those to be the ultimate truth and coming from man no. 3 (God) and ask me to go out and make everybody else on this earth (and Mars and Jupiter etc.) the follower of the man no. 3. In return I am promised to become the sole arbitrator between the man no. 3 and all those followers, which I will be making any which way I can. Does this make me a prophet ?

I truly just DON'T believe in God. People who do believe in God have an overwhelming sense of comfort in their life, which, even if there really isn't a God, is absolutely fine with me. Why live your life worried about what will happen to you when you can just tell yourself that "everything happens for a reason" or it is all in an omnipresent God's "plan for you"? The bottom line is though, that I DON'T BELIEVE IN IT! Not that I don't *want* to, I just truly don't, and if I said that I did, I would be lying. It takes more than stories passed down from generation to generation (like Santa Clause or the Greek Gods) and a book (has anyone heard of FICTIONAL BOOKS BEFORE?!) to convince me to dedicate my life to worshiping a non-human power.
And how do you know that Christians are right? Why not the Muslims? They believe in what they do just as strongly as you believe in what you believe. How do you know that YOU'RE right? Again, no answers of "because the Bible says it."

This is just a fact finding question. I'm not asking whether or not you BELIEVE in the trinity, I'm asking believers in the trinity to describe what it is, as they understand it. Based on the many questions AND responses I've read here there is no one definition/description of it.

Thank you.

How do the majority of the anti-evolution/
anti-prosperity-of-the-Sciences/ anti-progress Christians justify their mind-clouding pride? Seems a contradiction in terms, doesn't it?

Yes, I know, not just the Christian folk, but all of us here and there... and Ev-rry-wheerrreee! (sorry, Beatles moment).
