Do you think American media accurately portrays Islam?

Remember, American media gets a lot of its news from Al Jazeera. All the scenes of mobs of Muslim men running through their own streets, burning cars and screaming like girls ... that's Al Jazeera. Bin Laden speeches ... Al Jazeera. Footage of the carnage of another suicide bomber killing innocent people and five year old boys holding AK47's .... again - Al Jazeera.

So don't blame it exclusively on the American media. Blame it on the misbehaving Muslims over there.

Sure. But I only watch Foxnews, typically.

When I can go to various sites on the internet and watch David Berg get his head sawed off, or Muslims go into a frenzy over a cartoon, or put a price on the head of Sir Ahmed Salman Rushdie, or see what the Muslims are doing in Africa, or watch the Twin Towers fall, or listen to a Muslim teacher tell us that eating pizza is wrong, or see that there is possibly an older Koran which tells of things that the modern Koran does not, and listen to the arguments of the Muslims - I do not need a media to know that the Muslims are headed by the devil. What else would I need than those things to know that they are following an awful Satanic religion? And then the fact that they can figure out a way to impose a law that will cause them to rule in favor of beating a rape victim legally, I don't need a media to tell me very much.

Religiously, Islam is antichrist because they deny the Son. And if you deny the Son, then you deny the Father. So I do not need a media to tell me what is wrong, the Bible does that along with the Spirit of God who lives in me well enough!


So please, it has been many years of violence from Islam. We are jaded from your people. You do it too much, and then act like we don't understand. We do understand. Instead of wasting time on us, why don't you go after those who are tarnishing the name of Allah? Why is the focus on us when the people calling themselves 'Muslims' are fouling your religion with much violence?

Absolutely not! American media does not portray anything accurately. They only make things interesting to sell papers, magazines etc...
If you have any amount of intelligence, you would never even ask such a question. Are you familiar with the term "yellow journalism"?
Americans in general are so unintelligent that they not only believe everything that they read in the newsprint, but anything that originates from ALL media sources.

There's such an anti-Islamic slant to the media that getting the story of Islam across is next to impossible especially on the news. It's all sensationalism and twisted facts to skew the report in the favour of the people reporting it (either pro or con).

The only thing I could see happening is if an unbiased documentary was made on Islam. I doubt very much that that's possible given the current view however.
