Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope your house is bursting with family, laughing and noise. Thanks for being there.
Gluttony is a personal sin. Holidays are times for family and friends which are not sins.
Peace.

No, it is not. Thanksgiving is not gluttony for everyone.

How can it be a sin to be thankful?

It is the gluttony that is a problem....not Thanksgiving.
The ones who overeat on Thanksgiving pay for it in the end...tummy aches...

Gluttony may be a sin, being Thankful for the blessing in my life is not a sin.

So are you saying that every meal is gluttony because you are eating? I know I don't overfill myself at Thanksgiving because it is way too uncomfortable.

Its not a sin. Its only gluttony if you make a pig of yourself.

Gluttony as a sin was repealed in the US in 1960 when it was realised the whole nation would go to hell otherwise.

lol! Well, I guess as long as its not an everyday thing we'll be just fine (regardless if you want to think of it in a health way or a religious way).

And Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
