The Bible states and so did Jesus over and over to "only pray to God". If one feels a presence it is either the
Holy Ghost that God sent down here. Or God. When Jesus returns the difference will be noticed by all.

many, many ,many times...yes! but my faith does not require that I feel him there with me. it requires that I believe what was told by him..."If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.
and if you have the Spirit of God you will pray as a son who speaks with his father. and know that you are not alone.

Not always since the circumstances determine it. But I pray by faith and not by feelings anyway.
