Cause I really don't like muslims they make me sick that is the faith that helped enslave my so called African ancesters I don't even want to call them my ancesters if they where muslims. Islam has conquered to much you can't name to many countries where muslims are not present. I like the Jews Christians Sikhs Buddists and other faiths better than the blasted muslims.

I know they were originally one body and both can trace their bishops back to Jesus and the Apostles but who was leaving whom. The Catholics claim the Orthodox abandoned Rome by not accepting the power of the Pope to unilaterally add the filioque and to rule the other bishops while the Orthodox claim the Roman bishop left the other four bishops and therefore left the true Church when it began unilaterally making decisions without ecumenical councils like they had originally. It is more complicated than that but that is my summary. I want to know what Catholics, Orthodox and I guess Protestants think about this. Who abandoned whom? I'm leaning towards the Orthodox explanation of things based on what I've read on both sides but if a Catholic can convince me then maybe I'll become Catholic. I am sure I am no longer a Protestant though. How could God's Truth be in individual interpretation that has led to thousands of separate denominations teaching contradictory things?

I'm a christian, and I'm bi-sexual (female, and I prefer females.) I can't change that fact.

But is it right for me to want, even need to be in a relationship with a woman?

I know homosexuality is wrong, but I know that all sin is wrong, yet all of us sin anyway. What is wrong with love between two same-genders, if it is honest and fidelious?

a fidelious relationship between two women? Please don't look down on me for wanting this, when everyone themselves have there own faulty points.

What is the reason to not belive that Jesus is our savior. What do you think of right and wrong, love, compassion, where else can we get this. Why do athesist treat christians like they are dumb, also I think that they dont believe because it is just easy.

What is the true cause of Racism, Sexism and Prejiduce.. Why do people hate people just because of their religon, race or sex? Religon has been in and out of of history, people continue to hate on religons, a major one right now is Muslims, people are making false acusations of what the Quran says, they say that prophet muhammed was a child molestor because he married a young girl. But how about the hundreds of children that are getting raped by preists? Islam is terror? What was America when they killed millions of women and children in japan? What were the christians when they started the KKK? Why do people judge an entire religon just on a small group of people? I am not muslim, but if you look into this it is pretty sad how ignorant people are, another major religon is the Jews, they also have been hated because they killed jesus christ? But wasnt jesus a jew himself?

Asked earlier by Emily K, then deleted by her:

ATHEISTS...?
What would you do (assuming you're older than me), if you were a fifteen year old girl, surrounded by a hard-headed Catholic mother and a barely religious father, and every time you say you're an atheist (baptized Christian), your mother goes on a near-endless tirade of how you ARE Christian. My entire region is religious too.
Now to summarize my whining:
- How do you get people to take you seriously,
AND
- What do you do when you are verbally attacked by your friends?
Thanks for answering.

I teach two "web-based" classes (university level, entirely online). When Yahoo! took its little breather, I logged in to the electronic classroom and started reading the students' answers to recent discussion questions. About halfway through one particular one (related to ethics), I found myself searching for the "thumbs up" (and "thumbs down") button...it became increasingly difficult to keep reading without wanting to express my opinion visually.

What does this mean...should I ask the Blackboard folks to add a thumbs up/down routine to WebCT?...or would that be too harsh for a college classroom?

Or am I addicted to this place...is it time for Y!A-A? If so, does anyone know of a group I could join (online of course...or would that defeat the purpose???)...

I have seen a few christians offer that one evidence of the strength of the logic of apologetics is that christianity has endured 2000 years of people trying to disprove it.

Now, the way i see it, skepticism and atheism are both remarkably NEW ideologies.

first of all, up until 300 years ago, atheism as a philoshical view was so virtually non-existant that there did not even exist a word for someone who did not believe in god. The word "Atheist" first meant someone who did whatever they wished without concern of god's laws and such.

And even though atheism has existed as a philosophy for the last few hundred years, the ideas and arguments that argue for atheism (textual criticism, empiricism, philosophical arguments, ect.) has been given almost no exposure to the common man.

For example, are the words Jesus spoke in the gospels more important than laws specifically enacted for Hebrews, minor historical incidents, songs, and proverbs in the Old Testament? Are Jesus' "red letter" words more important than the interpretations of St. Paul, or the cryptic prophesies encoded in Revelation?

If all the words in the Bible are as important as the recorded words of Jesus Christ, isn't the Bible your Lord rather than Jesus?
