Catholics do you believe you can directly confess your sins to God? If you say yes for venial and no for mortal can you give me scripture to back it up. And yes I am one of those unreasonable people who accept only the Bible and not tradition.

By directly to God I mean praying to God. No priest involved.

Why is it that even intelligent people have lost the ability to spell and use the English language correctly? Is it really that hard to write the whole word? Is it hard to use apostrophes? What about when speaking? Is it so hard to put a 'g' at the end of your words? (I'm from the South.) Why is it that even college students don't know the difference between "its" and "it's?" I can barely read things written online anymore because they are shortened into the type of speech people use in text messages. Do people ever read books anymore? What about the English teachers? Are they at fault? I personally was taught very little grammar in school. My English teachers seemed to think that literature was much more important. Is that why American youth are so awful at English?

I was helping some other students in my technical writing class the other day, and their writing skills are laughable. What has happened to our language?

It must be VERY hard to use English correctly.

If you are below the poverty level to 65,000.00 a year you can qualify for free or low cost prescription drugs.
I just downloaded the 8th edition of of the book of prescription drugs. Go to= www.institutedc.org to get your copy. This is a 35 page book, they call it instant download, and it was to my surprise. It has the phone numbers of all the pharmaceutical companies that make the drugs. This is a little known fact, that if you are experiencing difficulty obtaining your needed prescription drugs, you can go to the name of the drug you are taking, and call the telephone number under the drug. I assume they require proof, that you cannot, for what ever reason, aford the
prescription you are required to take for your medical condition. I had heard of this, and finally found it. I downloaded the 35 page book, and found a drug I am on and called the number. I apparently got voice mail. And they gave me a number to press if I wanted to speak to someone.

I've been reading the Quran that was just given to me for a few hours now. I obtained a Quran simply because I was curious about what Muhammad had to say about the beginning of the Universe, I had no intention of seeking spiritual knowledge. I looked at every passage that involved creation and it just amazed me! It's soooo beautiful and I feel such a connection that I never thought would happen.

I can't understand what's happening to me, I almost feel as if I'm being shown the truth? And I'm not even religious, I had no belief in a god!

What's happening to me???

Aminah Remembers Allah
by A Muslim sister from Singapore

Aminah looked forward to Fajr prayers every morning. She loveed the fresh smell of dew that the morning brang. Everything is so fresh in the morning and the two rakat of subuh made her feel really close to Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala).

But she always had one nagging question in her mind. “How can I ensure that I always remember Allah throughout the day?”, she wondered.

So one day she decided to observe what her family did to remember Allah.

First, she watched her father carefully, to see what he did. She noticed that right after finishing his Fajr prayers he began to recite,

Subhan'Allah, Subhan'Allah.

And so Aminah repeated after him.

After filling her tummy with a hearty breakfast, Aminah began seeing what her grandma was did after her meal,

Alhamdulillah

said Grandma.

"Why did you say that?," asked Aminah

"I am Praising and thanking Allah for all the wonderful food He has given

In the universe of un-imaginable vastness, where the number of galaxies are said to be much more than the number every sand in every beaches in the world, could there be another civilization.

Is there a hint on this in the Bible or in the Qur'an?

I asked a question a little bit ago about churches advertising with signs, and this was part of one response:

'What? It's okay for businesses to advertise but not Church's? Everybody has heard the commercial ending with the words "Delta is ready when you are" An airline can have a catch phrase but not a church? Why? Are you belittled or offended by their signs?'

The point is what goal is in mind. If it's too 'attract' people, is it for money/power, or because of an honest concern for their well-being?
