Blessed Marianne Cope's feast day is on Jan. 23rd. There are a couple of good sites that have lists and saints and their feast days. Check out:
1) http://www.catholic.org -- click on "Angels and Saints"
2) http://www.americancatholic.org -- click on "Saint of the Day" and you can check saints by date or name.

May God bless you on your Confirmation; may he help you see the great person he created you to be!!

It can be difficult to know the birthdates of many of the saints. Many lived in times long ago when careful records were not kept, or have been lost. Instead, the Catholic Church has traditionally commemorated the day on which the saint passed into eternal life - the date of their death, which is sometimes known as the saint's "birthday into Heaven."

There are several saints whose feast days are celebrated on January 23, including Saint Alphonso and Saint John the Almsgiver.

If a woman chooses a male saint as her heavenly patron, she might take a female form of his name to honor him . . . so for example: women whose patron is Alphonso might use the feminine - Alphonsa . . . or for John / the feminine - Jane (or Jean, or Joanna, or Joan) in his honor.
