I've always heard people say that.... so just wondering. I hear alot that drunk people say whats on their mind and say the truth about things that they would normally lie about when they're sober. True or not??

It seems to be that by wearing small crosses and having larger statues and such of crosses on which "Jesus" is crusified promoting his suffering and reincarnating his death? Itsn't that like repeating and preserving the mistakes of the Romans that killed Jesus? I can't seem to understand how glorifying it is a good thing. Especially when historically the crusifix is merely a torture device and not a holy symbol.

Could someone please attempt to explain without chewing me out?

Do you have a poetic vision of heaven? Care to share it?

First taste of cold on warm flesh
Sacred smile ignites flames
Bursting in sweetness
Mute colors and gray sky
Clow in holy auras of autumn.

Jasmine buds courageously cling
Denial in evidence, frosted
Strength in nature's will
Petals cling to waxen stems
Scented Heaven rises from Earth.

Every time I pick up the bible, whatever I read just shows me up for the wretch I really am. I sin with practically every breath I take even when I'm trying to be good.
I know I am saved by believing but faith without actions is dead. (James 2:17) But no matter how hard I try I am a sinner and always will be.
How do you deal with being such a disappointment to God?
And if you think you do live up to His expectations then how?

Ok, my grandfather is biracial, African-American and white, and he has freckles, so I can easily and positively say that I’m an American-American with white blood in me: I’m an African-American who has a light brown skin tone – what people call “carmel” skinned. But whenever I attempt to acknowledge my white heritage, people always look at me like I’m crazy or a liar and get offended, mostly black and white people. They think it’s laughable. Why do you think people act this why towards me when I tell them my story? – Like what is the problem with me being truthful?

The two thousand member Baptist church was filled to overflowing capacity one Sunday morning. The preacher was ready to start the sermon when two men, dressed in long black coats and black hats entered thru the rear of the church.

One of the two men walked to the middle of the church while the other stayed at the back of the church. They both then reached under their coats and withdrew automatic weapons.

The one in the middle announced, "Everyone willing to take a bullet for Jesus stay in your seats!"

Naturally, the pews emptied, followed by the choir. The deacons ran out the door, followed by the choir director and the assistant pastor.

After a few moments, there were about twenty people left sitting in the church. The preacher was holding steady in the pulpit.

The men put their weapons away and said, gently, to the preacher, "All right, pastor, the hypocrites are gone now. You may begin the service."

It seems to me very strange that sex is often considered a more taboo subject than violence.
Why, for example, to many films containing strong, brutal and bloody violence often receive a 15 or 12 certificate, whereas films with strong sexual content recieve 18 certificates.
This is especially strange when you consider that violence, in the vast majority of its forms, is illegal, whereas sex, in the vast majority of its forms, is legal.

Why is it that when I post a harmless question about sex, my question gets deleted, while I'm sure that if I asked a question about violence it wouldn't get deleted.

Lets put this to the test... if I post two questions, one entitled "what is your hottest sexual fantasy" and the other entitled "what is the best way to kill a man with your hands".... which would get deleted first? Which do you think, and why?

I pray a lot, grew up going to church 2-3 times a week, went to a church school for all but two years of school, etc.

what I wish they would have done was help us to learn how to pray. I do pray, it's not like I don't know *HOW* but I want to do it right. Does that make sense?

No one can have a perfect life and we all will have ups and downs in our life here on earth, but sometimes you need a little extra 'protection' for getting through the really hard things.

For those who believe in angels, is it ok to ask God to send angels to protect you so you don't collapse. I am so tired from my current battle that I don't have the strength to finish it. I am tired.

I have long hair. It's long enough that I sit on it when I don't have it tied up.

I get a lot of attention, both positive and negative. Some people "play" in my hair and tell me how beautiful they think it is. And some people make snide remarks and give me the "evil eye".

I don't understand what all the fuss is about.

People in ancient times believed in magic. Ledgends differ trick magic from real magic. I believe there where phenomenons caused by people that did the unbelievable. This is how i think magic works and why it's almost gone today. Imagine a illuionary world that you just form out of your fantasy. Just like a dream you can do whatever you want as long as you understand that this world is not real. You could go through walls and move mountains. Everybody in your world is nothing but your imagination and everything good and bad that happens to you is because you want it to be like that. Now if you understand that the world is not real, you can control it, you can do magic! Take Buddhism for example... enlightment is the reach of a perfect state. It is to understand everything. What if we were the one we call god and just play a mind game by creating a world and a life out of our very imagination and fantasy?

Please tell me what you think about this. :-)

What I mean by "peaceful death" is having no distress about eternal destiny. My father had a close call with death 21 months before he actually died and had absolutely no concern about eternity(never has) from then until hi death. When he passed away, he went peacefully. He had always rebuffed my efforts to proslytize him. I now have serious doubts about Hellfire. I am still a Christian, but have considered belief in reincarnation even more lately.

Well my last question got deleted and I dont know why. I think I am asexual. I am not sexually attracted to either sex. The very thought of sex is disgusting to me. But I like to cuddle with people and I do have crushes on people. Do you think I am asexual.

When was the last time that you VERBALLY witnessed face to face to an unsaved person, or even just acknowledged Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord to them ?

How did it go ? How did you feel ?

Thanks in advance for all sincere, polite replies.

Blessings.
