I pray a lot, grew up going to church 2-3 times a week, went to a church school for all but two years of school, etc.

what I wish they would have done was help us to learn how to pray. I do pray, it's not like I don't know *HOW* but I want to do it right. Does that make sense?

No one can have a perfect life and we all will have ups and downs in our life here on earth, but sometimes you need a little extra 'protection' for getting through the really hard things.

For those who believe in angels, is it ok to ask God to send angels to protect you so you don't collapse. I am so tired from my current battle that I don't have the strength to finish it. I am tired.

Pray by laying it all out before God. There is no right way or wrong way to pray. The Angels are already with you. You are never alone.
Peace.

First thing...know that when you get tired, you CAN'T quit. And understand that things don't stay the same forever. Be it good or bad. Pray in the language that YOU understand. And if you understand it, then you know that God does too. He created all. So there is no right or wrong way to communicate with Him.Just start talking. And "angels" are around us constantly. Even still, you will fall. But get up. Life isn't about not experiencing things. You have to. But never quit 15 minutes before your miracle. A miracle is just a possible 15 minutes away. And you have to be ready to receive it. And also believe that when you pray for something, BELIEVE with NO doubt that it will be done. Leave it where you left it. With God. And allow Him to do His divine work. He is listening even when no words are coming out of your mouth. Stand strong. And fight. And believe. And know this too shall pass, I promise. This time next year, you won't even be thinking about what it is your dealing with now. And if so the intensity will lighten. Peace be with you.

Hey, its goin to be ok. You cannot be taught how to pray, prayer is a way of life you get better and learn as you grow. Start by telling God how you feel honestly, tell him when you are sad, happy, frustrated, tired etc. Prayer is simply talking to God and developing a relationship with him and the more you talk to him, the more you release all the things that are stressing you and the stronger you get. We were never created to fight our own battles thats why the Bible says pray about everything, tell God what is buggin you and be patient, take a step back and wait for him and he will help you. I am speaking from experience let go and let God be your strength.
When things are beyond you, ask God to send you ministering angels and he will. Stay strong Jesus loves you.
God bless you.

You do not need any flowery prose, or any special concession, and you don't have to say some repetetive prayer. God knows the longing of your spirit, heart and soul long before you ask him. So, just be yourself, go to a private and quiet place and simply ask him these things. Be quiet for a little while and listen to the whispering your soul, listen to your own thoughts and the answers will come to you.

I'm sorry you're having a hard time. It seems no one is exempt from the trials and tribulations life can throw at us.

God will always be with you through thick and thin helping you and whispering to your soul "this is the way..." and for every problem there is a solution - you need only listen to the goodness in your inner spirit.

Be well, for it is not just enough to know right, but to do right, and be right; and whatever task is set before you, do it well. discern the good and follow that.

You sound like you could use some spiritual strength - the only way to renew it is to take the time to connect to God within your self; but it sounds as if you need it pretty bad - trying to solve problems of this material world (physical, time and space) will wear you out every time - and this will exhaust you and make you feel as though you've failed miserably ... especially if you are not allowing the Spirit to put the wind in your sails.

Give everything over to Our Father... and LET... be still, listen and follow. Allow ... put it in his capable hands. There is no problem too big for God.

Blessings, peace and love to you ~StudiousOne

The best way to gain wisdom and strength in God is to just really dig deep into his word. Once you are constantly surrounded in it, it builds your faith and your stamina to fight the battles.

Paul prayed for Ephesus in the book of Ephesians that God would give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him and that their eyes may be enlightened into the hope that He has called them to. These are some things that you can pray over yourself so that your wisdom and strength will grow. The more you know God, the more strength you will develop.

God has provided with a very tough armor. When we use this armor to fight in our battles, we are guaranteed the victory. One thing that He has given us to fight is angels. Each of us have 10,000 angels at our disposal. Psalms 91:11-13 says that God will command his angels concerning us. That the angels will lift up their hands so that we will not strike our foot against a stone. Our angels were given to us to help us fight and to keep us safe and strong.

Just remember that God is a good God. He just wants to see you succeed in life. He is pleased when you are living a life of joy and happiness. He will never let you down.

Just talk to him.
He is your father!
He doesn't need some scripture and such, he understands.
When i pray - i am terrible at it.
Like last night i had to give thanks at dinner and all i could muster was
"Lord, thank you for this food we have received today, amen"
Now that's a sucky prayer to me, but, we said thank you plus we'd been to church and prayed 3 times there.
But give him your problems let him know your tribulations and ask him for guidance and strength and this is a prayer i have on my fridge i wanted to share with you and i hope it makes you feel better, you can ask for your angels help:

Dear Angel, ever at my side, how lovely you must be,
to leave your home in heaven to guard a child like me.
When I'm far away from home or may be hard at play,
I know you will protect me from harm along the way.
Your beautiful and shining face, I see not, though you are near;
the sweetness of your lovely voice, I cannot really hear.
When I pray, your praying too, your prayer is just for me.
But when I sleep, you never do, you're watching over me.
Amen.

Dear Lord,
enlighten me in my doubts,
assist me in my difficulties,
defend me against the assaults of the devil,
and be my guide on the way of perfection,
making me more and more acceptable in your eyes.
Amen.

(((((hugs)))))

Prayer isn't about the words, your lifestyle or what anyone else thinks. It's about talking to God. Tell God how you feel. Ask for help and guidance. You don't need the King James English either, God understands the common tongue as well, He made them all. You could model your prayer after the Lord's Prayer, but please don't pray the Lord's prayer by rote and without meaning...
1. Acknowledge God for Who He is
2. Ackowledge God's holiness/righteousness --the fact that He's perfect and we aren't.
3. Acknowledge He controls the future and knows what will happen
4. He controls what's in heaven and on earth
5. Ask for help to avoid temptation
6. Ask for a release/deliverance from evil and the evil one.
7. Ask for daily needs
8. Ask for forgiveness for ourselves, as we learn to forgive others.
9. Realize God is all powerful and deserves our praise
10. So Be It--Amen

God hears the prayers of His people. It doesn't take fancy words. Sometimes we can be so distressed that all we can say is "HELP"! It is when we are weak that God is strong. Just talk to Him as you would talk with your best friend. He is your best friend and He will give you the strength you need for the bad times. Ask Him to send angels to protect you, to surround you and to guide you. Ask for the white light of the Holy Spirit to cover you and show you what you need to do. He's always there for you. Just praise God for all he's given you and thank Him that you can depend on Him to never leave you nor forsake you. May you find peace in your distress.

Prayer has been repeatedly shown to only have a placebo effect.

If you decide that you can finish this, or if you decide that you can not - either way you will probably find out that you are right, it is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

There is no protection from non-existent angels, there is only you, and what help you can get from the friends, family and people around you. Use the resources that are actually there and real. Trying to rely on imaginary friends is a sure route to failure.

I do believe in Angels and yes it is ok to ask God to send them. I don't believe there is a right way to pray either. You just talk to God honey. He's listening. I promise. I love you. ♥
