People in ancient times believed in magic. Ledgends differ trick magic from real magic. I believe there where phenomenons caused by people that did the unbelievable. This is how i think magic works and why it's almost gone today. Imagine a illuionary world that you just form out of your fantasy. Just like a dream you can do whatever you want as long as you understand that this world is not real. You could go through walls and move mountains. Everybody in your world is nothing but your imagination and everything good and bad that happens to you is because you want it to be like that. Now if you understand that the world is not real, you can control it, you can do magic! Take Buddhism for example... enlightment is the reach of a perfect state. It is to understand everything. What if we were the one we call god and just play a mind game by creating a world and a life out of our very imagination and fantasy?

Please tell me what you think about this. :-)

Believing in something, does not make it work against the laws of nature. Belief can have strong affect in the spiritual realm, and can create spiritual being and structures. But these structures and spirits, will vary in their effectiveness, based on how well they work, with the laws of the universe. The structures we build, in the material world are this way too. Be careful about how use of the imagination, people do get mentally ill, if they travel to far from reality, and they get lost. Fantasy may be fun, but reality has a tendency to intrude.

It's certainly not a new idea. Check out some of the early English philosophers like Locke and Hume. Or for a more modern take, try THE CRACK IN THE COSMIC EGG by Joseph Chilton Pearce.

It was a time when people found pottery and clay became very important in their life. They made figures with clay as well. Imagination or fantasy became more realistic. Religion existed before that that man was created by someone powerful but clay made it more plausible.

Enlightenment in Buddhism is the realization of the three law: (1) all things are impermanent, (2) all things lack inherent existence (no-self), (3) and that nirvana is perfect quiesence. It is attained via Prajna Wisdom, not by magic.

Magic itself is a form of sufferings by Buddha's teachings.

You are living in a fantasy world. Jesus was God in the flesh who came down to walk the earth so we could know Him. God gave us His Word the Holy Bible recorded by the Jews, God's chosen people to look after His laws. God said over 2,000 years ago that His Word would not pass away and His Word has not passed away. God said He would bring the Jews back into their land and after over 2000 years God brought them back in May 1948. God said a nation would be born in a day and Israel was. God said they would speak the original language and they speak Hebrew to day.

All things are possible with God, but it is God who gives us the power to do what you mention.

There is no such thing as "real magic". Magic is an illusion. You can imagine anything you want, that will not change reality. It will only change your perception or your reaction to your perception. Reality will not be changed.

I think it is utter rubbish.

But feel free to try it. I would suggest a really tall building to jump off, that will give you the longest time to persuade yourself that you can actually fly.

Actually, try a tall cliff. That way you are less likely to hit someone and the tide will clean the mess up afterwards.
