Here in the Houston ( Gulf Coast) area it is Monday and the temperature is supposed to be in the mid-80's today. I've
lived down here for 30 years and I still miss the changing of the seasons that we had up in Indiana. Also miss the snow.
I used to love looking out over lawns, fields and streets after an over-night snow. It's like a beautiful painting and everything is soooo peaceful and quiet. Even the passing cars can't be heard as they move along the beautiful powder.

No snow in our forcast yet Alcoholic demon, but I am looking forward to it in "small" amounts that can melt in about 3 to 4 days. Don't want a blizzard!!! But I love the snow, I just hate digging the cars out of too much of it.
Oooo snow in Rochester!

I live in the south, too and I'm excited about it getting cooler again tomorrow. It's WAY too soon for snow here in Arkansas, but I hope we do get some snow this winter because I love snow so much.

No snow here, it's still in the 60's although it's getting in the 30's at night. We only get snow a couple times a year and it's gone quickly. We get more ice than snow.

I live in southern Tennessee and it's already in the 60's this morning at 9:30am. However, by evening a cold front is due to drop the temperatures overnight with high's in the 50's tomorrow. I don't expect snow here until close to Christmas.

No snow at the lower levels yet but the ski areas have some and are getting really excited. We never get very much snow in my small town these days. 50 years ago they always got a lot.

Our wide neighborhood street is lined with fruitless mulberry trees. At this time of the year the trees drop orange and yellow leaves all over everyones lawn and across the entire street. It's beautiful! We stop moving for the fall, until the leaves turn brown. No snow, though. Not since January 25,1999.

It rarely snows where I live but it is due to get colder later in the week. Snow is beautiful to look at, but i will take a picture of snow and enjoy it rather than having to shovel it.

I live in the California mountains and we had snow in September! It wasn't a lot and it didn't stick but there was enough to make the streets slick.
We're hoping for snow. This drought has caused way too many problems.

Nope - our weather is much like that in some 'upper' Southern states. It is still 60+ degrees here, though slated to get cooler in a couple of days. Snow, when and if it comes won't be until much later in the season...thankfully! It's pretty but not my cup of tea!
