Aside our own enjoyment, what is the purpose of life.

You might say it's to create/continue future life, but what's the purpose of THOSE lives?

It's not like we're helping the environment.

You know, the whole "We're here for God's entertainment" thing is getting old. Seriously, maybe it's because I'm an atheist, but I think it would've been a lot easier if he would've just gotten Pay-Per-View. [[Or whatever it's called.]]

But still..what is the purpose of life?

What is your opinion of breastfeeding in public? I'm not talking about going into the ladies room or being some place and covering your self with a shawl. I'm talking about being out in public, the mall, resturaunt, unisex salon, etc and just opening your blouse, taking your breast out and start feeding you kid?
I never breastfed my kids and I know it's a personal choice (I always found it extremely distasteful and disgusting.) But I find this REALLY disgusting.
A lady had a young baby in a very nice, pricey resturaunt the other night (My husband and I went there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary,) and she just took out her breast and started feeding the baby right at the table. I almost puked up my dinner and I complained to the manager about it, but he said he really couldn't do anything about it. (He did take 25% off of our bill, but the entire meal was totally ruined seeing that saggy wrinkled breast with a huge brown nipple..ewwww.)
Dont people have any class anymore??

Once again I am asking this respectfully. I really am trying to understand Catholicism and your specific beliefs. Not attack them.

I have read some quote recently, and no need to post them here, that seem to lead to the idea that Mary plays a role in salvation. I truly can't see this being the case and wanted your opinion on it. Does Mary play any role in our salvation? Is there a group pushing this idea in Catholicism? If the Pope declared this to be the case what would you think?

Just so people know where I stand. I believe my salvation is based upon Jesus and Him alone.

a name dropper is someone who when your talking to them just drops a random persons name into the conversation to make themselves look good

I perceive Jesus as meeting people's immediate needs and giving the glory to God, teaching of God's love and forgiveness and shining a light on the dark deeds of the wolves in sheep's clothing, while today's Christians seem to be about forcing society to conform to God's law, weeding out freeloaders, protecting their worldly goods and supporting nearly everyone who has a church. As a muslim being constantly asked on here "why do we not eat pork", In a variety of mocking, ridicule or genuine curious questions. God says we have not too eat it, its not good for our health so we dont. Today the World Cancer Recearch Fund published a report which stated that meats such as Bacon, ham and salami carries such a high risk of bowl cancer that they should be avoided ALTOGETHER scientists have warned.
