As far as I understand pagan (as an adjective) and Athiest are the same thing: Professing no religeon.

I looked up both words because I was curious to see what differnces would occur in the definitions on an online dictionary that has never yet failed me. However, it only provided a definition for pagan.

So, if the words pagan and Athiest mean the same thing and Athiest isn't even in the dictionary, why is it the more commonly used?

I read a Korean article which was about minor religions in Korea. And this is what the 'expert' of minor religions commented about the LDS Church.(The 'expert' was a Protestant)
"Since no one's payed for serving the Church, they feel no need to study about their tenet in depth. Therefore, the LDS Church doesn't have its own certain code of beliefs. Moreover, their tenet believes that truths may change from time to time."
What do you think about his idea?
What parts do you agree and don't?
(By the way, I'm not Korean Protestant. So please don't blame me. I just wanted to know what LDS would think.)

A stockbroker parks his brand new Porsche in front of the office to show it off to his colleagues. As he's getting out of the car, a semi-trailer comes flying along too close to the kerb and takes off the door before speeding off.

Distraught, the broker grabs his mobile and calls the cops. Five minutes later, the police arrive.

Before the cop has a chance to ask any questions, the broker starts screaming hysterically: "My Porsche, my beautiful silver Porsche is ruined. No matter how long it's at the panel beaters it'll simply never be the same again!"

After the stockbroker finally finishes his rant, the policeman shakes his head in disgust.

"I can't believe how materialistic you bloody stockbrokers are," he says. "You lot are so focused on your possessions that you don't notice anything else in your life."

"How can you say such a thing at a time like this?" snaps the broker.

The policeman replies, "Didn't you realise that your right arm was torn off when the truck hit you."

The stockbroker looks down in absolute horror.

"F&*"ing hell!" he screams. "Where's my Rolex?"

Sin can't be allowed into Heaven, but I don't see any restrictions on it in Hell. Things like lustful orgies, pot, able to covet anyone's neighbor, triple chili cheeseburgers for breakfast.

Maybe weekdays in Heaven and Fri and Sat night in Hell is the ultimate afterlife?

Can you honestly say that if Jesus were here today, He would be taking part in the condemnation, alienation and discrimination that many in Christian leadership roles have focused on homosexuals?

What do I mean? Well, Someone who God picks from the patch, brings in, and washes all the dirt. Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, anger, selfishness, jealousy, pettiness and immorality. Then He carves a new smiling face and puts His light inside of them to shine for all the world to see.

Any ideas?

...Like when you get your tray of food and everyone in line stares at your tray as you walk by. It gets on my nerves for some reason. I'm not hiding anything (I don't get an abnormally small or large amount of food. I'm not bulimic or obese). Is it a primal instinct (protective of food)? Or is it a signal of a mental problem? I don't mind eating with people who are looking at my food at the same table, it's just people walking past that look at my food who get on my nerves.

reconciled with the Watchtower teaching of the annihilation of the wicked?

And since the same Greek word for "eternal" in the phrase "eternal punishment" ( Matthew 25:46 ) is used in the phrase "eternal life" ( same verse ), does not this indicate that the punisment of the wicked is just as eternal as the everlasting life of the righteous?
