Can you honestly say that if Jesus were here today, He would be taking part in the condemnation, alienation and discrimination that many in Christian leadership roles have focused on homosexuals?

I think Jesus would be a little too busy feeding the hungry, curing people from leprosy and blindness, loving people who have never been truly loved by anyone, taking care of all the little children, sheltering the poor, etc. All the good things that he was known for. Condemnation, alienation and discrimination were not in that man's vocabulary. People should go rent The Nativity Story, The Robe, Come to the Stable, The King of Kings, etc -- you will walk away with a refreshed view on what the man was really, truly about -- and it was all good things.

there is two sides to this
there are some that totally love the homosexual yet state as the bible says it is a sin

there are others that berate any that they feel like it in religious intollerance

Romans 1 says it comes from unthankfulness and worshiping the created rather than the creator=

and I as a delivered Jewish person speak up too to a person that claims to be Jewish and whatever
==You are a precious person truely loved by the Messiah of Israel
The point is the gentile that come to the Jewish Messiah is not required to study and practice Judaism laws-one of which if you carry money one the Sabbath you are as a Jewish person to be stoned to death along with wood or lighting a fire too.
I am a Jew, and I can tell you you didnt convert to Judaism nor were you ever a follower of the Messiah which is what Christian means be a person Jew or gentile born, you simply were and are part of religions-if you go in a garage that doesnt make you a car.

If you dont believe Moses and Isaiah you are following a religion that was made up when the Temple was destroyed because there was no blood atonement commanded by God through Moses.

Leviticus 17:11 The life of the flesh is in the blood and I have given it upon the altar to make atonement for your souls.
reading from the Hebrew or the orthodox Mazoretic text=
Isaiah gave the fulfillment of this in the Mighty God that was to be the son given the child born and the prince of peace Isaiah 9:6

Isaiah 52:13-53:12 Says he would be exaulted but first marred more than any man and lay down his life despised and rejected to make atonement for our sins.

Yet you are a person and just as important to the Messiah as anyone else, that is why he says he knocks on your heart door to come in, forgive sin and be your friend= Revelation 1:1 chapter one verse one and 3:19&20 where messiah says he loves everyone and asks us to repent of sin and ask him in to be our friend and help us.

as promised from the coming new coventant to know God personally Jeremiah 31:31 and following

best wishes to you and peace shalom in His care the Messiah who is here, David the sweet pea

Honestly, no. Jesus loves ALL and invites ALL "All who will may come". God is no respecter of persons, he desires all to come to know him. I feel that some of the purported Christian leadership forgot to consult the Spirit before they entered into intolerance and judgment. They also may have forgotten to consult common sense and science on the issues as well. I do know that NOT all Christian sects condemn so harshly as Bible fundamentalists do. There ARE churches and faithers who will accept that the gay or homosexual has a biological anomaly - and that God knows this and does not condemn them for something that is not their fault. However it does not excuse immoral behavior; so, the challenge is still there for them to accept or reject along with every other decision in life.

Based on something I saw on tv the other day, they believe they have found proof that people are born gay. Some Christians believe the person has made a choice and therefore have sinned. I wonder what those same people would say if it is proved that people are truly just the way God has made them? Different doesn't necessarily mean wrong. Sometimes, it's just different. Why can't that be OK?
No, I am not gay.
So, to answer your question, I would think that He would embrace all of His creatures.

I don't think He would.
I think he'd be having a 7 Up and talking with the guys at the 7-11.
I doubt he'd be in church every time the door opened.
I think He'd be sad to see how His teachings have become distorted.
Jesus did not condemn anyone. He did not alienate anyone.

The people He became angry with were the Pharisees.

If Jesus were here today he would be against all sin. No sin is ever justified in the name of Jesus. Jesus would rebuke the homosexual as well as the liar, murderer, fornicator, adulterer and etc. You can't claim to be washed of sin by the blood of Jesus, but still want to hold on to one or two sins.

I would imagine he would treat the situation as he did with the adulteress and the Pharisees. None are without sin. He said the greatest commandments were to love God with all your heart and strength and serve Him only and to love your neighbor as yourself. These are the law. If any sin were in actuality greater than another I would consider these two to be them. Since scripture says he will come again to judge, I will leave the judging to God for the measure we judge others by will be used to measure us.

i think NOT. why? because in the scripture readings he says "its the ill im here for, not for the doctors" . Jesus always befriend sinners and outcasts. Even Christian leaders are human to fall for spiritual pride, even a simple person can (belonging to any sect, religion) can sometimes uncharitable blurt out lines like "why she's/ he's acting like that" as is she/ he's not a so so.. (pertaining to sects or religions they belong to) most of the times is "humanity" that speaks for the attitude of these people not speaking thru the spirit of the "God or creator" they're referring to. I think all sects and religions are good. God is good, Budda is good, Allah is good, all are good.

We know exactly what he would do, 'cause he was seen in similar episodes such as the scene where a woman caught in adultery was about to be stoned. He'd point out that we're all guilty of something, and he'd remind us to forgive. Then he'd tell the homosexuals to accept their condition but to refrain from acts contrary to natural laws meant to strengthen and extend the human race.

i like the line "I have not got any severe intentions for her". in case you spend time together with her, stay faraway from the undertaking of Christianity. that's been stated, to share the gospel and to occasionally use words. that's my maximum profound theory, that there are no longer any probability encounters. G-d has placed you into her existence for a reason, yet you may desire to be cautions.
