I just volunteered to write a prayer for Halloween.. i have to read it to my entire class.. but i do not know how to start it off.. anyone have any ideas?

So, you're like a satanist or something? Otherwise Halloween isn't a religious holiday for Xians so I can't imagine why they'd want write a prayer for it, only against it. It think the Wiccans say, "Blessed be" about everything so they probably say that a lot on Halloween and it's a prayer.

You might do a take-off on the Serenity Prayer used by alcoholics, or the simple bedtime prayer that little kids say:
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the devil my soul don't keep. If I should die before I wake, you can have the rest of my birthday cake.
Ghosts and goblins and spooks abound
You'll see them creeping and floating around
Zombies and spiders and even a mummy,
Lemme outta here -- I ain't no dummy!
These are some very poor examples, but you get the idea.....

Just write a prayer asking God to keep those out celebrating safe from harm. Ask to bless those fighting in the war that aren't able to be home to take their children trick or treating.

O thine Lord, thank thee for the wonderful fruits of earth. Espcially the candy from tomorrow night. Bless all the children dressed up as ghosts and goblins and make sure there are no needles in their candies.Bless the souls that will roam earth too, for we fear them not. Amen
