By 12/13. It's a bit on the scary side when large kids in bloddy masks/outfits show up at the door. By the teen years I think kids should gather together with others their age and plan a group activity. Leave the door to door stuff for the little ones.

I think 11 or 12. After that I don't want to answer the door for some 6 ft. teenager in a costume and won't. It's a safety issue. Trick or treating is for the young set when it's cute. Anyone older looks like they are casing the place and they aren't cute. They can dress up and go to parties.

Kids should be able to stop trick or treating when ever they want...It might get a little creepy around age 17 but it dosnt really matter how old you are. Halloween is mainly about getting candy and having fun, even if you are old!!!

I'm 13 and I'm going trick or treating tomorrow with my friend who's 14 so there's no age to stop trick or treating. Plus who doesn't want candy.

There is never a age to stop trick or treating! It's traditional like Christmas and Thanksgiving and every holliday you can name.
Trick-or-treating makes people feel young. It is fun, exciting, and merry!
People can stop trick-or-treating whenever they want.

The last year I went trick or treating was freshman year of High School. That's when it lost most of its fun. I happened to be 6' as a freshman and I remember receiving a lot of sarcastic remarks when someone answered the door but no one rejected me.
