I am more than a little mad right now , so forgive my rant
this young girl comes here asking for some advice ...
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071019093117AA7kusg&r=w#Q5cuD2C6UDDOF86_7ZY7n_SDJsTnSAs4X5mgMjPlNp4BmhKiiW3n
but it turns out the girl is only 11 .... which you can find out simply by clicking her profile
please please check peoples profiles before giving advice on extremly sensative matters such as this one
we do not know what she wants to or needs to hear
we are not all trained coucellors and even if we were ( which some of you may be ) a few words on a screen is not enough to be able to do so properly
and although the girl is obviously Christian .... she is still too young for you to be giving her your opinion on what God thinks/does in this situation
please please if you have children of your own ... think what you would say to them
you would most likely say .... dont ask strangers for advice on these things and keep yourself safe

I know it's considered inappropriate to be seen in a regular bra without a shirt on, but is it just as inappropriate to be seen in a sports bra without a shirt on?

In my previous question, I asked if anyone would accept $500 million as long as they never prayed or went to church ever again. One guy said that all of those christians who said no should take the money and make the sacrifice just like how jesus sacrificed himself, and that they should be ashamed of themselves for saying no.

So since a lot of people supposedly wouldn't have made that sacrifice for all of that money, is there anyone who would make any kind of sacrifice for their religion?

...the Salvation Army?

Overtly Christian. They're 'Bible Thumpers', although polite, they are.

Does it bother you that they apply the 'Golden Rule' and preach worldwide?

Help me understand why you refuse to believe in God, or at least to worship Him. Where's the danger? Do you think God owes you something? Please help me understand.

Here's a good question....why doesn't the news ever show the other majority of the Muslims speaking out and helping the innocent people attacked by the unislamic extremists? I was thinking this today here in Pakistan (I'm white and from the US, just visiting family) as I was watching GeoTV news. They showed the people assisting those injured, carrying those who could not walk, risking their own lives to save those caught up in the attacks. They even showed the details, such as those who, ummm, didn't "make it" before the ambulances arrived.

Why does CNN and all of the American channels show us Muslims just standing around looking on? Why won't they show the previous day's and previous hour's work of helping everyone out and chasing down those who they know were part of it? They show it all over the world except the West. Our American channels did the same with the start of the Iraq war, and I know because I was here then. What do you think?

Christians: During the Inquisition and Salem Witch Trials, innocent women like you had their nipples torn off, their genitalia burned with hot tongs, and were burned at the stake by Christians who believed that these woman were witches. The torturers claimed to be torturing the women in the name of your God and Jesus. These innocent women screamed in agony for their God to help them, but no help came. Why do you think your God sat back and did nothing while these killers committed these brutal acts in his name? Wouldn’t God at least want to make it clear that these torturers were not affiliated with him? I assume that you will say that the torturers were acting on the “freewill” that God gave them. However, most of these torturers honestly felt like they were doing the work of God. Don’t you think that if there were really a God, he would have stepped in and put an end to these atrocities?

If Catholics aren't Christians* then is Christianity only as old as the Reformation?

Does that make Islam older than Christianity?

What was the "Christian" church before the Reformation if it wasn't Christian?

Were the people who built all those wonderful medieval cathedrals NOT Christians?

*If you believe Catholics ARE Christians, there's no need for your input - the question is posed to those who think that they are not.

I think we need to be honest, and look at these scriptures in the context they were meant to be in, and not taking them to fit within our own teachings.

First, baptism is a work, is it not?

Catholics proudly Claim, Acts 8:37 as evidence of their claim. HOWEVER, Acts 8 (and the early part of Acts) is directed the JEWS. REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED, this is talking about the JEWS.

Now, note that it says REPENT, and THEN be baptized. Not "baptism saved you", do you see how they look at the bible to suit their own meanings?

Paul shows us how to be saved, and he simply says BELIEVE, this is for the Non-Jews to be saved. So simple, why must you corrupt the word of God?

Now, they give many other scriptures to try to back their claim that "Saved By Baptism" However, we must look closely at the scriptures and see, is this WATER Baptism, or are they talking about the Holy Spirit coming to us? When the Bible says "Baptism" it does not always equate to "Water Baptism".

"can you prove that god doesn't exist?" Since when do we have to have evidence for something not being there? Do we have to disprove that there are fairy's before we can think they don't exist? Or monsters under the bed or in the closet?
