What is the question? You believe all the garbage you get on the web especially when it is sponsored by the group that is trying to prove it. Utter BS as usual.

Ok, so once you provide evidence that the bible is a trustworthy source of information about god, then we'll really be making some progress.

Edit:
It seems to be an interesting rebuttal on the mystery religion thing, but it will take quite a bit of research to determine if it or what it is refuting has a stronger case (this is called objective thinking, I don't accept the first thing I read or the one that supports my position, I research until I know enough to determine which is a better stance).

The reason why I don't care if Christianity was or was not derived from mystery cults is if there is not a god or the bible is not a trustworthy source of information about him, then it doesn't matter how or what Christianity teaches.

Answer what?!?

Seems to me that all this person was doing was snubbing non-established, quasi-religious mythos and cultism by quoting catch phrases like "doctrine" & "correct beliefs".

By doing specific research you can find enough evidence to support any theory.

In fact, why has the New Testament Bible been revised over 50 times in the last 200 - 300 years?? Is something so wrong with the original version that people refuse to believe it? Is truth not truth?

if you believe Jesus studied the CABALA! YES! it was! the question is what would it matter to an atheist in the first place? they do not believe what the Bible says in the first place!
remember Jesus was raised in the east - orient & only returned by the age of 12. then was not heard of again for 18 years.

Isn't "Christian Research" an oxymoron? (Go look up that word if you don't know what it means.) You don't get it. It's like quoting fairy tales at people and arguing about whether Cinderella's shoe was made out of glass or gold. There are many different versions of the story, but in the end, they're all fiction.
I couldn't be bothered to read the whole thing, but why do you think Christmas is celebrated when it is? It ties into pagan winter solstice celebrations. Easter? Spring fertility rites. This makes sense, because if you're trying to convert someone to a new religion, as Christianity was, you must keep elements of the old religion or nobody will be willing to change to your religion. Get it?
Edit: Your best friend is an atheist? Do you ever talk to each other??

Christian Research Institute Journal??? C'mon kid.

Lets all tune into Fox News for Fair and Balanced coverage.

You can't post slanted views and expect educated people to accept them as facts.

Christian Research Institute Journal? Sounds very professional, so it must be true! I didn't read it, sorry. I could care less.

Edit: It's easy to be against atheists, regardless of the status of your best friend. Maybe they are accepting of your stupidity. That's like saying "I'm not racist, I work with black people".

What's the question, the article is irrelevant to us. Christians may have a problem with it though.

I think you may be confusing atheism with paganism. Atheism is absence of a religion and/or God, Paganism has it's own deities.
