"can you prove that god doesn't exist?" Since when do we have to have evidence for something not being there? Do we have to disprove that there are fairy's before we can think they don't exist? Or monsters under the bed or in the closet?

Suppose you were trying to find some new cure for cancer and I was trying to discourage you. You might say, "can you prove that my idea won't work?" Such a demand for proof sounds appropriate in this example, I think.

Belief is always in connection with getting to a goal. I believe I can find a cure for cancer, for example. The goal is the cure and I have to believe or it wouldn't be logical to try.

I believe that God exists because I find in my nature a desire to know my Creator. I have a goal and I must hold that God exists, i.e. believe, or it wouldn't be logical to seek Him.

What about your fairies and monsters under the bed? I have no need to hold them to exist because I have no need to find them.

Since when do we have to prove to you or anybody else that we believe God lives in us by way of the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ? You know it cannot be proven so come up with something else. God has performed miracles time and time again and even did it in the flesh when Jesus walked the earth and people still didn't believe it. I don't think 3 BILLION people believe in monsters under the bed or fairy's. Do you?

i'm going to bypass away that to the god believers. often, the word "god" refers to a pair form of sentient superbeing. The definitions variety and grow to be plenty greater imprecise after that. As an atheist, i do no longer ought to stipulate what a god is. If all and sundry needs to cajole me that any exist, they are going to ought to tell me what it relatively is they're claiming exists. so a ways, there have been no definitions of any gods that folk have been waiting to pin down with any convincing info. some have stated issues like, "The universe is God", yet that purely provides yet another label to the universe. It provides up that sentient component to it. Others say "God is love", it relatively is very poetic, yet would not relatively say something. Love is an emotion, and that i do no longer think of they're relatively announcing that God is an emotion. (regardless of the undeniable fact that maximum do purchase into the thought for emotional motives) And others will say he's a few imprecise form of capability, regardless of the undeniable fact that it relatively is purely pushing it off one, by way of fact they actually do no longer define what that capability is. an identical holds real while they attempt to stipulate it with different imprecise words like "spirit".

Yeah, the only difference is that I don't believe in the monster under the bed, so I don't post question after question about his potential existence on an Internet message board. Unlike God, the monster is not real to me, therefore he doesn't exist, nor does he matter. So stop asking.

OK, there is only one God and the only God. The Bible has everything to know know about him. Fairies and other junk don't exist because God didn't create them. Just follow God and you'll know what's true and not.

There is no proof. Thats why its called belief. Science and God are two completely different things. It frustrates some because they are always trying to combine the two. One calls for theory and proof. The other calls for faith.

Can you prove that there ever was a big bang or that dinosaurs were the way they have been drawn or that in all sincerity that the neanderthals were humans?

You're wasting your time. Each time a question like that gets asked, it is pointed out over and over again that you can't prove a negative. It just gets ignored.

You cannot disprove, but can say that there is no evidence and no witnesses so we don't have any reason to say that X is real. For the tooth fairy, you have no witnesses, and no evidence. But for God you have a multitude of witnesses and evidence of his work!

Want proof for the existence of GOD? This whole universe is a proof that it has a creator. This creator is GOD; not Jesus, but ALLAH.
