If God did create Heaven and Earth He obviously screwed up in major ways all over the place. There has been nothing but violence and killing since the beginning. God, if you are to believe the Bible, is quite the abused of humanity. He's not very nice at all. I guess one thing people of Faith can claim to some extent - we were created in God's image. We are a very violent and vengefully bunch of animals.

I been around Pagans a bit and they are oh so much better at this than any Christians I’ve met. I mean, I grew up in the Baptist church and those Baptists are just nasty to one another. Throw in the every popular bashing of Catholics around here and it kinda makes you wonder.

those who believe it isnt, would you care to explain yourselves?? i know some countries have declining populations, however, these arent many (and they're all industrialized nations)... ..why ignore the rest of the world?? our FINITE resources and LIMITED space arent going to keep up with the growing population! its hard for me to believe many people still think excessive population growth isnt a problem...some growth is good, but not too much.

so can anyone explain why some people think population growth isnt a problem when its excessive????

Nothing against those that don't believe, but I have always and will always believe in ghosts. I just don't pay those people that don't believe in ghosts any mind. I don't believe what science has to say.

considering the core belief of islam .that we either ( non-muslim) convert or be destroyed. how can there ever be peace between muslims and any other religous group wether it be the jewish orthadox the baptist ,catholic or any other group that is not willing to convert to the religion of islam? how can there ever be peace and coexistence with a religion whose goal is to conquer and convert the whole world to islam and destroy those that are unwilling to convert?

We are moving next week, and I would like to do something nice to introduce ourselves to our new neighbors. I'm NOT throwing a party or anything. I am going to be to busy unpacking. I just want to leave something nice on their doorsteps (dont say doggie-do please. HEHE!!)

I've heard of people doing something like a basket of muffins or whatever, with a note attached that says something along the line of "Hi, were you new neighbors. We have __ kids, a dog, and we are from ______" .

I dont have alot of money, and there are ALOT of neighbors. Any ideas?

That Jesus did not have anything exceptional in outward appearance that made people cling to Him?

Isaiah 53 says:
1 Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

3 He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.
Like one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

-Jesus was a normal person as people followed Him because of their "belief" that He is God, and that He is their Savior! Jesus may of looked normal, nothing amazing in physical appearance, BUT He Himself was indeed AMAZING! And He still IS! He is our Lord and Savior! How awesome it is to know that the power of God is what drew people to Him, just as today (wait for it)
