The furthest object visible by telescope is the galaxy ABELL 1835:[PSR2004] 1916 with a redshift of z=10.001750. That would mean the light left this galaxy billions of years ago, unless the speed of light has been grossly underestimated. What is the biblical explanation for this phenomenom?

Bug YA, If a black hole slowed the light down, I'm not sure of the math, but I think it would take even longer for the light to get here.

"One of the most frightening things in the Western world, and in this country in particular, is the number of people who believe in things that are scientifically false. If someone tells me that the earth is less than 10,000 years old, in my opinion he should see a psychiatrist." - Francis Crick

Most evolution scientists drink too much and have blood shot eyes. Explained. Maybe it is located next to a black hole and the gravitational pull slowed the light down. Do you realize the energy required to accelerate galaxies to get a spectral shift? Where did that energy come from? How do you know it is the furthest object? There have been a lot of assumptions made to make the statement you quoted. Be careful.

well You missed a step.. Everything was working at the time of creation.. We didn't have to wait for the light to arrive, it was here when Adam looked into the sky.. Already here..
Adam was not created a baby, he was an adult.. oil was already under the ground. the sun was shining..
The chicken came first.

Well that's just it. There's no scientific reason to believe in the bible. It's a matter of 'faith', or so i have been told by theists.

The crap I've heard explaining this is that God placed the light closer to Earth so we'd be able to see it.

Excuse me for a bit. I'm having trouble breathing through my laughter.

Edit: The Bible is there to tell us how to go to Heaven, not to tell us how the heavens go. -Galileo

As a Christian I've never said the earth was only 6000 years old. Personally, I don't care how old it is.....the most crucial matter for me is who created it.
