The four horsemen are symbolic descriptions of different events which will take place in the end times. The first horseman of the apocalypse is mentioned in Revelation 6:2,
Revelation 6:4, "Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword." The second horseman refers to terrible warfare that will break out in the end times
The fourth horseman is mentioned in Revelation 6:8, "I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth." The fourth horseman of the apocalypse is symbolic of death and devastation.

Invited to a 'Black Tie Optional' event. I don't own a tux and don't plan on renting one. This is an evening ball that is a charity benefit, so it's not work related or a wedding. I don't know anyone there and it's mainly going to be some of the fat cats from the community. I plan on wearing just a plain dark blue business suit. Surprisingly though I don't own a white shirt. Would it be ok to wear a blue shirt with matching tie? I don't know why I'm worrying since we'll only be staying for like an hour anyway and I won't know anyone, but I don't want to stand out. It seems like Black Tie Optional is more or less just telling men to please at least wear a suit and not just khakis and a sportcoat.

Why do you believe there are 27 books in the New Testament when nowhere in the Bible does it say there should be 27 books in the New Testament?

Why do you say we must accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior when the phrase "accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior" is nowhere in the Bible?

Why do you say we're saved by faith alone when the Bible says: "You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone" (James 2:24) ?

Hey y'all I have a friend that's taken to calling me 'shorty'. I want to say something to him in french calling HIM shorty (or the like) so he won't know what the heck I'm talking about.

What should my girlfriend dress me up as for Halloween?
I am a 18 year old senior in high school. I am going with my girlfriend she is next to me typing the rest. I am a 5'6 male who is skinny like 120 pounds. I don't know what I should be for halloween. My girlfriend really wants to have fun with this and dress me up as something "cute and fun." We both want it to be something funny that people will laugh at. We have been looking on www.buycostumes.com We do not want to be a stupid couple who goes as like a Prince and Princess. Thats lame. What would be funny but would also be a challenge to dress up as that would be fun. I think my girlfriend is going to be something girly and dressed up and she wants to dress me up and I owe her. I had a bad dream and it put me in a really bad mood from the moment I woke up. Then other things kept happening to make me mad, little things that have made my morning harder.
Usually I am a positive person and little things don't really get me down. But today is different, and since it's not my norm, I don't know how to deal.
I have a long shift at work ahead of me, and I don't want to blow up at anyone. I have like an hour to get this thing in check.
What are your tips?

Please make note of spiritual things you do especially.

And it's not that I don't appreciate everyone's advice, but if you ask me to "put it in the Lord's hands" I will vomit.

I've decided to have a heart to heart talk with her this weekend. I appreciate your previous concern for my situation, and my need to explain her choices in this world and beyond.

For those who may not know, a quick synopsis. My girlfriend and I have dated for over a year. She is almost perfect, except for the fact that she is an atheist. Now, don't get me wrong. You wouldn't know she is an atheist just by talking to her. No, mainly it's in her thoughts, and her willingness to engage in pre marital sex with me.

Before we take the next step in our relationship and unite as one in the eyes of the Lord, I need to let her know the clear boundaries. There is an afterlife, and neither her nor her atheist family are going with me to heaven if they don't embrace the gospel. Her father is already angry with me for sharing the knowledge that he will be burning in hell forever.

Anyway, I'm taking her out for dinner this Saturday night after going to a movie. I'm a little nervous about having to tell her she is going to burn forever in the fire pits of hell, but it's very clearly stated in the bible, and if she hasn't read that yet it's really is on her.

Any advice on broaching the topic? What type of food should we have?

Also, she is about 7-8 pounds overweight.

Lets say you can read in japanese ex. des ka etc... spanish gigante... and german ihre etc(and no one taught you.. you just read it when its put in front of you) ... does that mean you can fluently speak them..
